[02] House President - Israeli ambassador
Nicosia, Dec 29 (CNA) -- House of Representatives President Spyros
Kyprianou and Israeli ambassador to Cyprus Shemi Tzur today discussed a
visit by the Parliament President to Israel next year as well as the peace
process in the Middle East.
Talking to the press after the meeting, Tzur said the issue of
establishing Friendship Associations within the parliaments of the two
countries was also discussed.

[03] Greek Cypriot - Illegal apprehension
Nicosia, Dec 29 (CNA) -- A Greek Cypriot bus driver was illegal apprehended
this morning by the Turkish occupation troops, the police announced.
Speaking to CNA the UN Peace-keeping force in Cyprus (UNFICYP)
spokesperson Charles Gaulkin confirmed that Petros Vasilis, 33, was
apprehended and said UNFICYP police will visit him tomorrow morning.

[04] Cyprus - Identification of oldest remains
Nicosia, Dec 29 (CNA) -- Independant research on the remains of a child
unearthed in 1994 prove they are the oldest ever identified in Cyprus, as
they date back to about 8300 BC.
An Antiquities Department statement says "the earliest human remains
were uncovered in a deep well in Kissonerga-Mylouthkia, which is now
regarded as one of the oldest well in the world."
