    [07] Cyprus - Proximity talks - Sources

    by Maria Myles

New York, Dec 7 (CNA) -- UN-sponsored proximity talks on Cyprus will continue on a day to day basis and are expected to last until December 14 or 15, including meetings this coming Saturday, according to well informed sources.

Given that Saturday's meetings take place on the last day of the European Union Summit in Helsinki, it is all but certain that President Glafcos Clerides will not be going to the Finnish capital for the Summit, even though no decision has been taken on this matter so far.
