[01] President Clerides - Peace talks -- CORRECTION

    Nicosia, Nov 18 (CNA) --

Please note that in yesterday's news item entitled "President Clerides - Peace talks", it was mentioned, by mistake, that the US Secretary of State had sent a letter to the Cypriot President.

The seventh paragraph of the said dispatch should read as follows:

"Clerides said the assurances were given by US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright in a telephone conversation and were later outlined in a letter he sent to her."
