[01] Greek Americans - Turkish Americans - Joint statement
Nicosia, Nov 17 (CNA) -- In an unprecedented move, Greek-Americans and
Turkish-Americans issued a joint statement to encourage their motherlands
to continue their talks and spirit of cooperation as this will
"dramatically increase the prosperity and security of both countries".
On the occasion of US President Bill Clinton's visits to Athens and
Ankara this week, Greek-Americans and Turkish-Americans also encourage
Greece and Turkey to "persevere in resolving outstanding issues between the
two countries".

[02] Stock Exchange - New companies
Nicosia, Nov 17 (CNA) -- Some thirty companies are expected to be listed in
the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) next year, CSE Chairman Dinos Papadopoulos
told CNA today.
Commenting on press reports that "the year 2000 will be the year of
the CSE", Papadopoulos said he agrees with the prediction but only in terms
of the number of companies which are expected to be listed in the Stock
Exchange.
