[01] Greek Americans - Turkish Americans - Joint statement

Nicosia, Nov 17 (CNA) -- In an unprecedented move, Greek-Americans and Turkish-Americans issued a joint statement to encourage their motherlands to continue their talks and spirit of cooperation as this will "dramatically increase the prosperity and security of both countries".

On the occasion of US President Bill Clinton's visits to Athens and Ankara this week, Greek-Americans and Turkish-Americans also encourage Greece and Turkey to "persevere in resolving outstanding issues between the two countries".
