[01] Stock Exchange - Index increase
Nicosia, Oct 5 (CNA) -- The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) General Index went
up by 8,7 per cent today, second day after the four-week closure of the
island's stock market.
The all-share Index closed at 451,01 compared to 414,95 yesterday.

Nicosia, Oct 5 (CNA) -- Cyprus Finance Minister Takis Klerides will
inaugurate on October 15 the Investment Bank of Kuban, the first investment
bank to operate in Russia with foreign capital.
Three quarters of the Bank's starting capital which is 1,5 million
Cyprus pounds will by provided by the Cyprus Development Bank (CDB) and the
remainder by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)
(one Cyprus pound is trading at 1,86 US dollars).
