    [01] House President - Poland

    Nicosia, Sep 8 (CNA) -- Cyprus House President Spyros Kyprianou is in Warsaw for an official visit, heading a four-member parliamentary delegation, at the invitation of his Polish counterpart Maciej Plazynski.

    The Cypriot delegation will have meetings with political leaders, the presidents of the Polish Senate and House and deputies.

    [02] Cyprus - Assistance - Greece - Earthquake

    Nicosia, Sep 8 (CNA) -- The Cyprus government will send today a five-member team of experts to Greece to assist the relief campaign after yesterday's earthquake which rocked Athens killing more than 30 people.

    President Glafcos Clerides is to communicate with Greek Prime Minister Costas Simitis today to inform him that all state services are at his disposal, while the cabinet will decide on the material, economic or other assistance to be offered to Greece.

    [03] Cyprus - Greece - Quake - Aid

    Nicosia, Sep 8 (CNA) -- A Cypriot team is heading to Greece to help relief efforts while the government has pledged one million US dollars in aid following yesterday's powerful quake in the Greek capital.

    Government Spokesman Michalis Papapetrou told reporters after the weekly cabinet meeting that President Glafcos Clerides telephoned Prime Minister Costas Simitis and informed him about the government decision.
