Nicosia, Sep 2 (CNA) -- Greece's champions Panathinaikos and European Cup
winners Italian Benetton Treviso will play in the final game of the Caretta
Sunball Classic tournament here tonight.
Panathinaikos beat last night Italian Kinder Bologna 90 - 81 while
Benetton Treviso defeated Israel's champions Maccabi Tel Aviv 80 - 74.

[02] Presidential Commissioner - Enclaved man - Murder
Nicosia, Sep 2 (CNA) -- An autopsy on the corpse of a Greek Cypriot
murdered in the Turkish occupied part of Cyprus will take place today in
both the occupied areas and the government-controlled areas of the Republic,
Presidential Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs Takis Christopoulos told
CNA today.
He said a UN Peace-keeping force (UNFICYP) doctor will be present at
both autopsies and a Force report on the case will be handed to the Cyprus
government when it is ready.

[03] Russian diplomat - Interview
Moscow, Sep 2 (CNA) -- Moscow appears cautious with the prospects of Cyprus
peace talks resuming before the Organisation for Security and Cooperation
in Europe (OSCE) summit to be held in November and believes that if a new
round of negotiations is convened their success should be certain.
In an interview with a CNA delegation visiting Moscow, Russian Foreign
Ministry envoy for Cyprus Vladimir Tchizhov said "the UN Secretary-General
is the only person who can call for negotiations", adding that the UN chief
"is well aware of the dangers of any possible failure in such an effort."
