According to him "people are returning to the SDS". "The SDS endured all pressures and attacks aimed on its division and showed that it did have ground among Serbian people" - said Lukic at the pressconference adding that "the SDS is the most powerful party in RS". Referring to previous work of the OSCE in B&H Lukic said that so far the SDS has beeen warning on "numerous undemocratic moves and action of the OSCE, especially those regarding taking away of rights to vote for 250,000 refugees in FRY, mainly Serbs. Referring to the last events in Drvar and persecutions of Serbs from that town, the SDS spokesman said that the events were a consequence of a wrong analysis of the international community. Analysing the Government's work in the last 100 days Lukic said that the "SDS has a negative stance toward forming, work and results of the current Government which are equal to nothing and perhaps negative". "Extremely negative effect of the Government's work so far is , by all means, establishing of an artificial, dangerous and deep division between political and economical interests of the western and eastern part of RS" - said Lukic. "The RS Government is not people's Government because it has been installed by the international community".BELGRADE - Serbia is ready to give to Albanians from Kosovo the highest level of autonomy - cultural autonomy, but with respect of the state and the Constitution, said vice-president of the Serbia Government Vojislav Seselj in an interview with the central Russian television ORT. In an interview, partly conveyed by the Serbia Radio-Television, Seselj said that "Albanians from Kosovo can not have their Parliament, Government and territorial integrity but only institutions of the cultural autonomy". NIS - Vice-president of the Serbia Democratic Party Ljubomir Vucic thinks that a decision made by the Contact Group on freezing of the FRY assets abroad was a typical example of facing of two the utmost opposite stances of the U.S. and Russia and could be an introduction in more harsher sanctions or in breakdown of the Contact Group. "Instead of to help in solving of the Kosovo problem the international community with its partiality represents generator of the crisis". AMSTERDAM - Editor of the "Wolcstrant" foreign politics column Philip Remark thinks that foreign diplomats are worried that nor with punishments nor with awards are not going to persuade Belgrade to accept the internationalisation of the Kosovo's problem. Remark said that members of the Contact Group were trying to be involved in a problem of Kosovo but they were not capable to agree on a degree of the sanctions against FRY, themselves. SARAJEVO - The announced Memorandum on Understanding by which the B&H Television reconstruction into Federation television is anticipated, has not been signed yet because of the Muslim side obstruction - "Vecernje novine" from Sarajevo reported. Citing unnamed officials of the OHR, the paper claims that although the B&H Presidency chairman Alija Izetbegovic and President of the B&H Federation Ejup Ganic are supporting publicly this project, in reality they are obstructing it. "Bosniacs officials have fear that because of pressures of the international community they could loose control over media loyal to them" - is said in the paper. MAY 2, 1998 EVENINGNEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKABANJALUKA - President of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) and vice-president of the Republika Srpska (RS) National Assembly Nikola Poplasen assessed negatively work of the new RS Government. According to him, the Government led by Prime Minister Milorad Dodik, did not carry out a plan i.e. programme they had submitted to the RS Assembly. In a special statement for SRNA he said that " it will be platform for stance of the SRS delegates toward last 100 days of the Government's work", on the forthcoming Assembly's session, scheduled for May 12 and 13 in Banjaluka. Internal crisis in RS has been deepen because of numerous psychological differences between RS leading politicians and striving of the U.S., above all, to invest in the western part of RS in order to produce ideological and regional differences among the people.BANJALUKA - Vice-president of the RS Government Savo Loncar and Minister of Finance Novak Kondic had talks in Banjaluka with the World's Bank chief of mission in B&H Christian Portman about forthcoming Donors' Conference in Brussels. After the meeting Loncar expressed hope that RS would have the same treatment on the Conference on May 7 and 8 and confidence that RS would get at the Conference assets, previously denied. BANJALUKA - Vice-president of the RS Government Tihomir Gligoric had talks in Banjaluka with president of the International Federation of Red Cross Astrid Haiberg abut involvement of this organisation in seeking of detained and missing persons on the FB&H and Croatia territory. After the meeting Gligoric said that they were talking about creating of a unique data base for easier finding of missing persons, including data on exhumed and identified persons. BANJALUKA - The RS SRS President Nikola Poplasen thinks that sanctions against FRY represents completely inconsistent stance of the international community and warns that the main problem is blockade of investments. "No matter obvious inconsistency, it is quite obvious that there is no accordance" - said Poplasen. China, Russia , Italy and France have entirely different opinion on this matter from the U.S., added Poplasen. TREBINJE - The inaugural session of the Municipal Board of the Serbian People Union (SNS) was held in Trebinje, at which Obren Djedovic was elected president. The SNS vice-president Svetozar Mihajlovic submitted programme of the party adding that the Dayton Peace Accord rules must be fulfilled. SARAJEVO - Regional International Return Conference was held in Banjaluka on April 28, organised by OHR and the UN High Commissariat for refugees. After the Conference, it is easy to conclude that the Annex 7 of the Dayton Accord continue to be a motif for many different stances, from different angles.
