During the visit to Vienna the secretary of SNSD visited the Serbian clubs, where they presented to him problems with which RS citizens are being met during visiting their fatherland. Cadjo informed them about the current situation in RS and work and programme of SNSD.AMSTERDAM - The preventing of return of Serbian refugees to Croatia and usurping their property is exclusively in the function of retaining ethnically clear territories - is stated in the documentary analysis of the State Department about the status of human rights in this former Yugoslavian republic. In the systematic attacks on the property of Serbs, conducted because of their complete expelling, participate even the members of the Croatian police, and the official authorities and judiciary apparatus are doing everything in order that such behaviour of extremists remain unpunished, what puts them between the accomplices of creators of one nation Croatian state. SARAJEVO - The special session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska /RS/ will be held on April 15 and 16 in Doboj, in spite of opposition of some parliamentary parties - is confirmed for SRNA in the Cabinet of president of Parliament Dragan Kalinic. The Serbian People's Union /SNS/, Socialistic Party /SP/ of RS and Party of Independent Social-Democrats /SNSD/ announced that their delegates will not attend this session, because, as they claim, they did not get materials with reports about the work of representatives of RS in joint organs of B&H and taking over the duties between old and new government. BANJA LUKA - The delegates of SNS, SPRS and SNSD will not attend the special session of the National Assembly scheduled for April 15 in Doboj - was announced on the joint press conference of this parties in Banja Luka. "For us is not disputable at all the convening the special conference, but in its preparation the delegates did not get materials with reports about the work of joint organs of B&H and taking over duties between old and new government", said the delegate of SNSD Nenad Bastinac. BIJELJINA - The vice-president and the chief of Delegate Club of SNS Svetozar Mihajlovic announced in Bijeljina that this party do not accept holding the special session of National Assembly of RS, scheduled for April 15 and 16 in Doboj. "We do not accept self-initiative decision of the president of Parliament Dragan Kalinic about holding the assembly session in Doboj on April 15 and 16, because he has done it without the accordance of the majority of parties in Assembly", stated Mihajlovic at the press conference. DOBOJ - The president of the municipal assembly of Doboj Mirko Stojcinovic stated for SRNA that in this city exist the optimal conditions for early session of National Assembly of RS on April 15 and 16, and that he will be a worthy host for delegates of this top Republican legislative organ. "Hotel 'Bosna' with its accommodation capacities, two conference halls and three saloons, will be at the disposal to the delegates of National Assembly of RS", stated Stojcinovic. BANJA LUKA - The mayor of Banja Luka Djordje Umicevic informed the international civil representative Carlos Westendorp, while answering about the demand for building the mosque "Ferhadija" in the centre of the city, that this religious object "the monument of cruel Turkish occupation and that on that locality have never lived more than 15% of Islamic population. "According to the Annex 8, Article 4 of the Dayton Agreement, this mosque cannot be treated as the national monument of Moslems, because we are convinced that they are not the descendants of those which eminent persons were raping Serbian brides during the time period of 500 years, and Serbs, who were fighting for human rights were punished by impaling" - stress Umicevic. PRISTINA - In the main Pristina street from 12,00 until 12,25 h a couple of thousands Serbian Albanians held the peaceful protests. The protesters were not carrying the posters nor shouting, and their walk was not registered by the cameras of the foreign TV teams. PRISTINA - The counsellor for international relations of the House of Representatives of U.S. Congress Mark Kirk said in Pristina to the deputy head of Kosovo County Veljko Odalovic that "U.S. support the legitimate struggle of the Serbian authorities against violating the state integrity, in accordance with the international norms". In the announcement from this meeting the Province committee for information stated the the high delegation of Congress informed Mr. Odalovic that they conveyed to the leader of Serbian Albanians Ibrahim Rugova a clear stance of State Department that they will not allow any violation of territorial integrity of Serbia and FR Yugoslavia /FRY/ APR. 13, 1998 EVENINGNEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKABANJA LUKA - The vice-president of Republika Srpska /RS/ and rector of the University Banja Luka Dragoljub Mirjanic and mayor of Banja Luka Djordje Umicevic signed the protocol about establishing the organisation INOST, charged for organising future exhibitions of innovations, new technologies and new products in RS. The protocol was signed in the International Press- club in Banja Luka, and on the head of INOST was appointed the president Mico Gacanovic, while sponsors and organisers of this manifestation were Banja Luka's University and city of Banja Luka.BANJA LUKA - The vice-president of RS Government and minister of industry and technology Djuradj Banjac stated that the special expert team concluded that "no any changes of the formerly passed Law on privatisation are not possible", adding that to the Government was offered the concept in which were used the experiences of developed countries. Talking about the basic elements of the strategy of privatisation, Banjac stressed, at the public discussion about the Draft of the proposed Law on enterprises in Banja Luka's Economic Chamber, that this "issue is the main issue". According to him, the framework text of the law on privatisation was determined already, which will allinclusively solve problems of property transformation. BANJA LUKA - The ministry of information of RS announced that, while reacting on the protests of citizens because of the editorial policy of local and some private radio and TV-stations in RS, that "municipal assemblies could and should create the information councils for assessments of editorial policy of these informational houses". "In order to eliminate such situation, which is violating the basic freedoms and rights of citizens, the municipal assemblies must form informational boards or similar bodies, in which would enter out-party determined representatives of citizens of those municipalities" - is said in the announcement of the Ministry of Information of RS. The task of those bodies would be to give their opinion on each session of municipal assembly, about the programmes of local media which founders are municipalities. BELGRADE - The Serbian Democratic Party /SDS/ of Serbia assessed that announced referendum about foreign mediation in Kosovo represent the obvious attempt of current authorities in Belgrade to transfer the responsibility for its more years long political failures on people. "The governing structures had enough time to present the situation in Kosovo to the international community, and to unmask acting of Albanian separatists and terrorists, but they did not do anything about that" - stated the president of this party Dragoljub Kojcic. BELGRADE - The association for assistance for refugees and expelled persons in FR Yugoslavia /FRJ/ announced that expelled persons from the former B&H can in the six months time period - since April 4 - to submit the request for the occupancy right if they had an apartment in the territory of Federation B&H. According to the announcement, if the request is not submitted within the anticipated time period, the occupancy right will be lost. All refugees have a right to submit the request for returning their occupancy right, in person or through their agent. MOSCOW - The president of Russia Boris Yeltzin stated that Sergey Kiryenko is his only candidate for the premier and that he will not propose anybody else for that function. Yeltzin appealed on the Lower house of Parliament to accept his proposal on the session on April 17, indirectly warning that in case of final refusing he could dismiss the parliament. He expressed his disagreement with the changes of the Constitution according to which, in special situations the function of the president of the state would conduct the president of the Upper House of the Parliament, and not the premier as is now set by the constitution. BANJA LUKA - The president of the Serbian Party of Krajina and Posavina Predrag Lazarevic stated in Banja Luka that the demand of the High representative for civil affairs Carlos Westendorp for building the mosque Ferhadija in this city is unacceptable, and that it cannot be done before the temple of the Christ the Saviour is refurbished, which was destroyed by Germans, Croats and Moslems. "Mufti of Banja Luka Halilovic is hurting all Serbian wounds by this demand, so it would be better for him to apologise publicly to the Serbian people for all that members of his people had done to Serbs in the Second World War, and only after that to talk about renewal of the mosque" - thinks Lazarevic. APR. 13, 1998 EVENINGNEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKASARAJEVO - The president of National Assembly of Republika Srpska /RS/ Dragan Kalinic will propose to the delegate clubs that on the next Special session of the parliament will be considered only two items of the agenda - the Additional arbitrage Decision about Brcko and Supervision and implementation of September's elections in RS and FB&H. In the announcement from the Cabinet of the president Kalinic is said that the president has decided so after considering the course of preparations for next special assembly session and announcements of particular parliamentary delegate clubs that they will not attend the session scheduled for April 15 and 16 in Doboj. "Regarding that on April 16 the presiding of the Provisional electoral commission and chief of the OSCE mission for B&H Ambassador Robert Barry scheduled the consultations with political parties from B&H about the next elections, of the key importance is the Assembly of RS about that previously must define its stances: - is said in the announcement.TREBINJE - The High Commissioner for refugees Sadako Ogata visited the refugee centre in Trebinje settlement Gradina and was informed about the life of refugees in the region of this Herzegovina municipality. The Commissioner for refugees of RS Dragan Kekic delivered to Mrs. Ogata the medallion, the highest tribute of this organisation, by which is confirmed her affirmative work in this field. Kekic expressed the hope that in next period RS will meet better response of the international donors, who should undertake measure for better accommodation of refugees. Mrs. Ogata explained that all activities of UNHCR are directed towards finding the permanent solution for accommodation of refugees and displaced persons. PODGORICA - The president of Montenegro Milo Djukanivic stressed in talks with the High UN Commissioner for Refugees Sadako Ogata that introducing new sanctions against Serbia, i.d. FR Yugoslavia worsen the humanitarian situation and encourage the nationalistic forces. Talking about situation in Kosovo, president Djukanovic stressed that, if the acceptable solution is not found urgently, not only in the framework of Yugoslavia, but also in the region, but also the wide. Giving support to the Djukanovic's stances about Kosovo, the High UN Commissioner for refugees agreed that imposing new sanctions would be done in favour of boosting national passions. Djukanovic and Ogata talked also about finding solution for around 3,000 refugees in Montenegro. BELGRADE - The acting minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel Etan Ben Zur arrived to Belgrade, where, as Belgrade's media report, he will talk with his Belgrade's colleagues about the case of Dinko Sakic, who was the commander of the concentration detention camp Jasenovac during the second World War. As writes the "Politika ekspres", Yugoslavian State Prosecutor Vukasin Jokanovic has brought the criminal charge to the Government of Argentina, in which Sakic lives since 1947, because of his participation in killing the great number of detainees in the prison Jasenovac. ZAGREB - From the ministry of justice of and internal affairs of Croatia disappeared the indictment which was brought in 1945 by the State commission of the People's Republic Croatia against the more years commander of the notorious detention camp Jasenovac Dinko Sakic - writes the Belgrade's "Vecernje Novosti" /evening news/. The People's government of Croatia forwarded that document to the authorised international institutions in 1945, so the today's removing of that document in Zagreb is a kind of the political infancy. SARAJEVO - In Sarajevo was found the document which testifies that Hague Tribunal has allowed to the Moslem authorities in Sarajevo to raise indictments and conduct investigations against Moslems indicted for war crimes - writes the Belgrade's "Vecernje Novosti" calling upon the Croatian Radio-TV /HRT/.
