SARAJEVO - Italian members of SFOR blocked the building of Internal
Ministry /MUP/ of Republika Srpska /RS/ in Pale on January 18 at 12,15 h.
Around 22,00 h two vehicles withdrew, and unofficially is learned that
around the building were deployed the Italian soldiers.
KRALJEVO - Archimandrite of the monastery Zicha near Kraljevo father
Gerasim expressed his worry because of the political situation in RS, where,
according to his opinion, international factors skillfully sowed the seed
of discord between the Serbian politician. "Instead of taking care about
the invasion of Moslems on particular RS cities, we are arguing about the
composition of new Government, in advance assessing the capacities of
proposed candidates", concluded Garasim.
AMSTERDAM - "Helsinki Watch" optimistically anticipates that the appointing
of Milorad Dodik at the head of Government of RS creates good conditions
for integration of B&H, which could, only along his and president Plavsic's
cooperation, operate as unitary state. According to this organisation, the
entities in B&H will remain on maps as administrative entities, but in
practice they will be equalised through the joint currency, bank system,
passport and telecommunications.
BANJA LUKA - The president of RS Biljana Plavsic sent a telegram of
condolences to the president of Serbia Milan Milutinovic on the occasion of
the accident in the mine "Soko", near Soko-Banja, in which 29 miners lost
their lives. "Please, convey to the families of died miners the deepest
condolences in the name of people of RS, as well as my personal name" -
said in telegram Mrs. Plavsic.
