NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - The president from Republika Srpska /RS/ in the Presidency of B&H Momcilo Krajisnik and the new assistant of SFOR commander, the British general Hew Pike expressed in Pale the readiness for continuation of the successful cooperation between multinational powers and leadership of Republic. "I hope that in the future we shall be able to solve all problems, as well as before, despite the fact that there were disputes because of occupying the transmitter of the Serbian radio-TV /SRT/", stressed Krajisnik, adding that "only opened dialogue guarantees good cooperation".

ZVORNIK - The presiding of the Presidency of Serbian Democratic Party /SDS/ Aleksa Buha stated in Zvornik that at the parliamentary elections in Republika Srpska /RS/ this party achieved a relative success, "by which we can be satisfied, having in mind the conditions in which they were performed". "The parliamentary elections in RS being imposed, and disabling 200.000 of Serbs to vote, and making the electoral rules favourable for newly formed party - Serbian People's Union /SNS/ - which leads RS president Biljana Plavsic, and having in mind that SDS was in the media blockade, we are satisfied with preliminary electoral results" - explained Buha.

SARAJEVO - The representative of OSCE in the Counting centre in Srbian Sarajevo Bruce Hatch confirmed that the counting of 67,552 of ballots, that arrived late last night from OSCE Centre in Vienna, from which 51,950 are original ones, should finished on tomorrow afternoon or on Friday morning, December 5. He emphasised that all the ballots, which had arrived to OSCE Centre in Vienna, will be received by the Counting Centre in Srpsko Sarajevo, because they have to be justified, but only those ballots, that have arrived to OSCE Centre before November 25, i.e.the ones that have stamp of that day on their envelope, will be counted.

VIENNA - Into OSCE Centre in Vienna far more less number of ballots is arriving than before - confirmed to SRNA Gordan Milinic, the representative of RS Government, stating precisely that 2,000 of ballots of voters from abroad have arrived to Vienna post-office today, which is approximately the number of ballots that had arrived yesterday. "Very small, almost negligible number of ballots has the post stamp dating from November 24 or before, and those ones are mostly from Australia and USA" - emphasised Milinic, with a special stress on the fact that arrived ballots are being processed by usual procedure.

BANJALUKA - The president of the Syndicate Union (SS) Cedo Volas talked in Banjaluka with the representative of the Office of High Representative for economic and social issues Adem Mena about forming of social fund for salaries and pensions in RS. It has been emphasised that a part of resources for this fund would be given by international community, in order to improve hard economic - social positions of workers and retired persons. Mena presented a stance that SSRS and B&H Syndicate are two totally independent and equal syndicates, and between them a protocol about cooperation should be signed soon.

BELGRADE - The spokesman of UN Office in Belgrade Susan Manuel stated in Belgrade that "the regime of soft borders" will come into affect in the areas under UNTAES control before December 10.
