NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - The meeting of the president of Republika Srpska /RS/ Biljana Plavsic and president in the Presidency of B&H from RS Momcilo Krajisnik had to be done in Bijeljina, but from the Cabinet of the president Plavsic this meeting was cancelled, because of security reasons on the basis of the last assessment of the service which has a duty to provide security to the president of RS, told SRNA the sources close to the Cabinet of the president. The president Krajisnik expressed his great disappointment because of unclear and problematic reasons, which cannot be compared with the difficult situation which triggered the political crisis by the decision of president Plavsic to resolve the National Assembly.

SARAJEVO - The meeting between president of RS Biljana Plavsic and president Momcilo Krajisnik didn't happen as scheduled in Bijeljina, because the meeting was cancelled by Mrs. Plavsic. In the comment of the Serbian Radio-Television about the crisis is also said: "The president Krajisnik, as reported the agencies, accepted the idea of the meeting in hope that he will have an opportunity to convey to president Plavsic the stances of the National Assembly and other state organs, and on that founded proposals for overcoming the crisis, provoked by moving away Mrs. Plavsic from the rest of the state institutions and her violating the Constitution and the laws of the state.

SARAJEVO - After the two-days session of the National Assembly of RS, we are editing the official text of conclusions. On the basis of the Article 70. of the Constitution of RS and Articles 116. and 120. of the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly ("The official Gazette of RS" 10/96) the National Assembly of RS, after the discussing the current political situation in RS at the session held on July 4 - 5, 1997, brings the following C O N C L U S I O N S: 1. The National Assembly of RS supports the attitudes and conclusions of the Government of RS by which is protected the constitutional and legal position of the Ministry of Internal Affairs /MUP/ and stops the unconstitutional solutions of the president of Republic related to the work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS.

BANJA LUKA - The MUP of RS supported in Banja Luka the agreement of the president in the Presidency of B&H Momcilo Krajisnik with the special US envoy for Balkans Robert Gelbard about the urgent holding the meting of the representatives of MUP of RS and IPTF. At the work meeting of the minister of internal affairs Dragan Kijac with the chiefs of Police Stations from

Banja Luka, Prijedor, Mrkonjic Grad and Doboj was considered the political- security situation in Banja Luka, and concluded that the cooperation between MUP and IPTF was not interrupted.
