NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJALUKA - The Republika Srpska President Biljana Plavsic talked in Banjaluka with the governor of the Central Bank to B&H, Serge Robert, about the upcoming Donors' Conference scheduled to take place in Brussels on June 24 and 25th. They also talked on the establishing of a Central Bank of RS and the Federation of B&H.

SARAJEVO - The speaker of the Republika Srpska (RS) Parliament, Dragan Kalinic, and the prime minister Gojko Klickovic received in Pale a delegation of the German Company 'Symens', led by Wolfgang Hierzy, a director for the Middle Europe. As SRNA learns from the parliamentary cabinet, the representatives of the 'Symens' company were particularly interested in the investments in RS and, especially, in the fields of medicine, energetics, telecommunications, communications, electronics and tourism.

DOBOJ - Even though it was announced today, a violent incursion of Muslims into the villages of Makljenovac and Plane, in Republika Srpska, did not happen. The SFOR Headquarters in Doboj, through the Nordic-Poland Brigade commander, general Gunnar Lundberg, warned that it will not guarantee the Muslim returnees the safety. But today, SFOR assumed extraordinary measures, setting up two check points in the village of Matuzici.

HAMBURG - The Zagreb rulers' policy is a basic factor impeding the implementation of the Dayton Agreement, assesses the German 'Neues Deutschland' and concludes that 'it becomes more and more difficult for Washington to hold Republika Srpska responsible for the non-resolving of the problem of refugees, because it is obvious that Franjo Tudjman persistently deprives the Serbs of the right to return to their homes'. In this context the author reminds us of the recent criticism forwarded by the US Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright, to the Croatian government because of 'horrible incidents' against Serbs'.
