SARAJEVO - The president from Republika Srpska /RS/ in the Presidency of
B&H Momcilo Krajisnik and the president of the National Assembly of RS
Dragan Kalinic talked in Pale with the special U.S. envoy for the former
Yugoslavia Robert Gelbard about the implementation of the Dayton agreement,
especially about preparations for Donor's conference. While expressing the
contentment with the talks, which he assessed as useful, president
Krajisnik stressed after the meeting that "a great success is reached and
the issue of the Central Bank is brought to an end". "We are on the way to
finish finally that job and I hope that we shall finish the other laws
which are necessary for holding the Donor's conference as soon as possible",
added Krajisnik.
BANJA LUKA - The member of the Provisional Electoral Commission /PEC/ from
RS Slobodan Kovac stated in Banja Luka that the registration of the voters
is the most important phase in the whole process fro preparation and
holding the local elections in RS and Federation B&H /FB&H/. According to
his data in RS until now were processed 322,894 voters, in FB&H 321,896, FR
Yugoslavia 23,905, Croatia 11,536 and Vienna 68,300. He again stressed the
importance of registering of voters for the municipal elections and
reminded that this time on contrary to last year the control of the
international community on the registering stations is significantly
increased.
SARAJEVO - The Director of the Main Office of the Serbian Democratic Party
of the Serbian states /SDS SZ/ Vlado Vrkes on the occasion of decisions of
the Electoral Appealing Subcommission /EAS/ of OSCE about the alleged
irregularities in the registering of voters in Banja Luka, Prijedor,
Gradiska, Kotor Varos, Serbian Drvar and Serbian Kljuc issued announcement.
"The measurements undertaken by EAS are drastic, are not proportional to
the done acts, i.e. allegedly done irregularities in some municipalities in
which SDS SZ are coming out on elections" - it is said in the statement and
stressed: "Bringing into relation the irregularities pointed out in the act
of EAS with the responsible persons in SDS SZ is unacceptable and unfounded,
and it is not documented by any evidence".
