SARAJEVO - NATO's spokesman, Major Brett Bourdreau stated at IFOR press conference held in Lukavica that the ban on Serb military flights remains despite the conducted inspection of Serb Army facilities at Han Pijesak. Being asked "why and until when", Major bourdreau said the lifting of the ban, applying only to the Serb Army aviation, is expected to take place soon. BRCKO - Following a twoday crisis in the relations between Republika Srpska (RS) and NATO, the level of IFOR's combat alert is returned to normal, stated lieutenantcolonel Anthonio Cucolo for SRNA today. According to him, the crisis provoked by the incident at Han Pijesak did not rise alert even close to the highest level of alert. The forces [of IFOR] were just in "a degree higher state of alert than the usual one is". DOBOJ - A group of journalists from Doboj protested with IFOR because journalists from the CroatMuslim Federation are enabled to travel throughout RS - without being subjected to any control - which occasions they use to write their columns serving the propaganda purposes. SARAJEVO - RS government adopted the Mine Clearance Pro gramme, drafted by the European Commission according to Annex 1 of the Dayton Agreement. BRCKO - Freedom of movement and the providing security of polling places on the elections day will be guaranteed by RS police, IFOR and IPTF, this was agreed at a meeting between international agencies and local electoral commission. IFOR commander, lieutenantcolonel Anthonio Cucolo unofficially an- nounced that a number of Muslims who want to come and personally vote in the city is not large, and that their arrival and stay will be secured by RS police and IFOR. BANJALUKA - The OSCE Electoral Appeal Subcommission dis missed a collective complaint of the Association of the Serbs Expelled from the Former Yugoslav Republic of Croatia, who presently live in Banjaluka, who are denied right to vote at September elections in RS. In explanation of the decision, signed by judge Fin Lighem, it stands that, consistently with the Dayton agreement - which does not call for the including of the Serbs expelled from Croatia into the electoral activities in RS and the MuslimCroat Federation - the Provisional Electoral Commission adopted rules limiting the right to vote to those individuals who were registered as citizens of B-H in 1991". DOBOJ - The Municipal Board of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) in Doboj, appealed voters to "give their vote for those for whom they are positive that will protect national interests of the Serbian people". TREBINJE - The National Party of Srpska, based in Trebinje, called upon its members and followers to vote for national and patriotic parties for, as he said "it is the only perquisite for the survival of RS. BEOGRAD - The president of the SRS Vojislav Seselj, urged all Serb refugees in Yugoslavia and abroad to vote only in RS. "The Serbs should not vote at any other place, but RS. All bul lets coming from other places will be falsified in favour of the RS levist parties", warned Seselj at a press conference in Bel grade. BEOGRAD - The spokesman of the Democratic Party (DS), Slobo dan Vuksanovic, stated that the elections to be held in September in RS and the Federation enables the Serbian people to strengthen the degree of state sovereignty given to them in Dayton. While referring to the meeting in Geneva - pertaining largely to the elections in RS and the Federation - Vuksanovic expressed his belief that the currently ruling parties will win the elections. BEOGRAD - The president of the Executive Board of the Democratic Centre, Bora Kuzmanovic, welcomed all agreements reached at the Geneva meeting, especially those concerning the normalisation of life of citizens, which implies the normalisa tions of relations between the two countries. BEOGRAD - The Congregational National Party (SNS) said the Serbian president Slobodan Milosevic in Geneva "interpreted the policy of great powers and, instead of Serbian, pursued the CroatMuslim interests, thus gaining more confidence of the international powers for himself". "The significance of the Geneva meeting rests more with conclusions which were not made public", says SNS, and adds that the agreed to behind the doors is yet to become obvious. BEOGRAD - The spokesman of the DS Slobodan Vuksanovic, stated that this Party is looking forward the scheduling of federal elections to be held on November 3, which means the shorter term of socialists' rule. Vuksanovic assessed the ruling Socials Party will surely lose the forthcoming elections". BEOGRAD - The SNS considers that the decision of the Yugo slav president Zoran Lilic to schedule elections for November 3 was made in order to hold the elections after those in RS and the Federation take place, but before the elections in U.S.A., hoping for the US support of the current regime in Serbia. In an announcement, the SNS stressed the crucial local elections are not even mentioned, the reason for which is a high degree of unity reached between the opposition parties. TUZLA - The Party of Democratic Action fired director of the "Dita" factory of detergents, a member of the opposition leftist party, and appointed its member to this post", reports Reuters.
