RIBNIK - The vicepresident and acting president of the Republika Srpska /RS/ Biljana Plavsic visited Ribnik and with the leadership of this municipality talked about the previous renewal and reconstruction at that region. As emphasised at the meeting by the presidents of the Municipal Assembly /SO/ Jovo Banjac and Executive Board Rajko Kalabic, at the Ribnik region returned from the beginning of February more than 12,000 refugees former resi dents of this place. Ms Plavsic was very pleased because of shown optimism of the municipal leadership of Ribnik and emphasised that this is the best guaranty that the process of renewal of this municipality will be successfully realised.

BANJALUKA - The vicepresident and acting president of the Republika Srpska /RS/ Biljana Plavsic will visit MrkonjicGrad and talk with the leadership of this municipality. As anticipat ed, Ms Plavsic will meet Jovanka Zupic, mother who lost three sons in this war, and after that should have to lay the wreath at the joint grave of the Serbian soldiers in MrkonjicGrad.

NOVI SAD - The vicepresident and the acting president of Republika Srpska Biljana Plavsic assessed, in an interview for the Belgrade's "Vecernje novosti" /"Evening news"/, that the provisions of the Dayton Agreement "sanctity from which we can't and dare not step back". "As we have done maximum, in relation with the changes in the state and party level, then we insist on the Dayton Agreement, indeed, to be the sacred letter at the paper. Therefore, it couldn't be asked from us more than it is determined by Dayton Agreement", said Ms Plavsic while emphasis ing that there are not rare contrary cases.

SARAJEVO - The president of the National Assembly /NS/ of RS Momcilo Krajisnik talked at Pale with the chief of the Pale Liaison Office with the special envoy of the UN Secretary General Jeff Bomont about the impending elections in the former B&H. In the statement, after the meeting Krajisnik warned that the inter national community and CroatianMoslem party are exercising a great pressure to complicate the elections, even not hold, for what Serbian side would be blamed.

SARAJEVO - The Ministry of Information of RS issued today an announcement in which it reminds all citizens of Serbian and other nationalities who during the war found the shelter in Srpska that they are fully equalised with its citizens. All of those who were because of war activities, destroyed settlements, threats of genocide, after the expelling and discrimination were looking for the shelter in RS, "by the Law about the refugees and displaced persons" are fully equalised with the citizens of Srpska, it is stated in the announcement, issued, as is asserted, "on the occasion of frequent calls and asking of the refugees from Republika Srpska Krajina /RSK/ about their status and rights in RS".

BELGRADE - The chief of the Belgrade's Office of the OSCE Zivota de Luka assessed that number of refugees who were enlist ed to vote at the September's elections in the former B&H, could surpass the cipher 15,000. "Until the Friday evening was counted 113,000 of applications, of which 40,000 persons filled the form No. 1, and more than 73,000 form No.2, while at the moment is being processed between 50 and 60 thousands of applications which were submitted in Belgrade", said de Luka.

BANJALUKA - In the press release, The OSCE mission is call ing all the refugees which have intention to cast their ballots at the impending elections in RS and MoslemCroatian Federation to register in the election list today.

SOKOLAC - The president of the OSCE Regional Centre in Sokolac assessed that the works on registration of electors at this region were done fully and with quality. According to him, at this region of Srpska, at the next period should be determined 800 polling stations, to choose and train for work the voting Boards.

PARIS - The topic, about which French news wrote during the last weekend, is the possibility of realising of multiethnic arrangement of Mostar, because the Croats from this city claim that the elections were false. "We are at the edge of abyss", transmits "Le Mond" the statement of the EU administrator for Mostar Martin Garrod.

BRUSSELS - The Belgian historian - Balkanologist Remont Detre claims that the seriousness of the situation in Mostar is the result of insisting of EU and U.S. for the completeness of B&H, although the people who live there are not interested for that. As reported by the Belgian radio BSTM, Detre stresses that Mostar represent test for the survival of the MoslemCroatian Federation, and the federation itself for the survival of the Dayton B&H.

BERLIN - Unsuccessful negotiations of Croats and Moslems in Mostar doesn't represent only the defeat for them, but also disclosed the weakness of the Europe to solve this problem, writes the German "Berliner Zeitung". The German daily is pointing out that because of the inability of the Europe, U.S. and their president Bill Clinton were included, to whom the Croatian president Franjo Tudjman had promised that the Hercego vinian Croats will recognise the results of elections in Mostar and stop the boycott and obstruction.

SARAJEVO - "The International Herald Tribune" writes that the evident proofs for suffocation of any kind of democracy in Croatia represent more and more frequent attacks of Zagreb against independent media. The news stressed that the "Croatian obedient parliament in March passed the Press Law according to which the officials can indict the journalists for vilifying if they feel that they are "insulted".
