SRNA REVIEW OF EVENING NEWS, June 16, 1996
From: Mirjana Petrovic <almirja@cotton.vislab.olemiss.edu>
SARAJEVO - The minister of foreign affairs of Republika
Srpska (RS), Aleksa Buha stated that "RS was recognised at the
recently held Ministerial Conference in Florence as a interna
tional factor". "Following the Moscow Conference, the RS was for
the second time since the signing of the Dayton agreement, treat
ed as other countries participants", stated Buha for the Serb TV,
while commenting the results of the twoday Florence Conference
devoted to the continuation of the Dayton agreement implementa
tion. Buha especially pointed out at the objective approach and
cooperativeness of the chairman of the Conference, the Italian
foreign minister Lamberto Dini.
STOCKHOLM - There will be no discussion about Brcko for
refugees from Serb Sarajevo found shelter there, writes the
Stockholm paper Svenska Dagbladet, citing the RS prime minister
Gojko Klickovic. The paper reminds for the Serbs strategically
important issue of the Posavina corridor was not resolved in
Dayton, adding that the Muslims rejected the widening of the
corridor for six kilometres. For the sake of saving the peace
process, this contentious issue was decided to be resolved by the
arbitrage, on the base of the enclosed map of the area, writes
the paper.
SARAJEVO - The Execution Commission of the Party for B-H
accused the leadership of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) of
being directly responsible for yesterday's attack at the Party's
president Haris Silajdzic in Cazin. "The attack followed several
statements of the SDA leadership. The political faction tending
to impose its absolutist rule and prevent the democratic process
es in B-H is behind it", says the announcement of the Party for B-H.
SARAJEVO - If it is to be judged by the Muslim TV programme,
there is a large gap between wishes and reality regarding the
elections in Mostar. Namely, in the Muslim TV Sarajevo programme
titled "Mostar to Mostar residents", the participants - mayor of
the Muslim part of Mostar Safet Ocurevic, professor Zdravko
Grebo, Gradimir Gojer and Jole Musa - discussed unitary Mostar in
which the organisation of authority predicted is such that nobody
can deceit nobody, i.e it is all the same who the mayor will be,
writes SRNA's commentary.
