entirely the responsibility of the prime minister of Romania, Mugur
Isarescu.
[03] Response of Prime Minister of Romania to the allegations of Foreign
Minister Petre Roman
Mr. Isarescu replied to the statement of Foreign Minister Petre Roman as
follows: "Coordination of RICOP PROGRAMME was transferred to the Ministry
of Finance from the Ministry of Transports as Minister of Transportation
Anca Boagiu, member of the Democratic Party of Romania, refused to
coordinate it any longer as she refused to be implied in any activity
linked to the programmes of the World Bank and the European Union......if
there are any delays in the implementation of the programmes they are
linked to tension inside the present coalition and are the result of the
habit to avoid responsibilities, a domain in which the Democratic Party
members are champions."

[06] Debt of Romania to Sweden discussed by the Cabinet of Romania
State Minister Mircea Ciumara has met at Victoria Palace with members of
the Foreign Ministry, the Finance Ministry and the Justice Ministry to
discuss the debt which Romania has toward the Swedish state. Negociations
will be proposed in the letter as Sweden is asking as part of the debt
which Romania owes it some companies which were nationalized in the

the Lubin Catholic University of Poland
During his visit to Poland His Beatitude Teoctist was granted the title of
Doctor Honoris Causa of the Polish Catholic University of the town of
Lublin. During the LAUDATIO under the title UNITY OF THE CHURCH IS NOT A
UTOPIA professor Vaclav Hrnievici stressed the activity of 71 years of the
Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church Teoctist in the service of the
Church and of the people; a special chapter was devoted to the visit which
Pope John Paul II made to Romania earlier this year for the rapprochement
