[02] Message of political continuity addressed by President Emil
Constantinescu
The President of Romania received at the Cotroceni Palace the ambassadors,
heads of diplomatic missions and consuls general of Romania with foreign
minister Petre Roman attending the reception. On this occasion the
President of Romania spoke about the progress scored in the last four years
by our country in the democratic building and the promotion of a free
market economy as well as about the main stages and directions of foreign
policy that have led to a new statute of Romania in the international arena,
reads a press communique received by RADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI from the
Presidential Press Bureau. The President of Romania said that the diplomacy
of Romania is a diplomacy of true facts and reality and this is why the
diplomats of our country should tell the true successes scored by the
people of this country to all our foreign partners. The President of
Romania asked our Ambassadors to transmit the officials of the host
countries the message of continuity of Romania in her efforts of European
and North Atlantic integration as this is in the interest of all citizens
of this country being not only a priority of the political class of Romania
but a priority of all citizens of our country.
[03] The Bucharest Cabinet has passed the rezolution of the Romanian -
Brazilian accord of collaboration in the domain of tourism
According to RADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI both Romania and Brazil will
facilitate the access of tourists of each of the two countries in the other
country as well as the entrance of all materials having a promotional
character.

[05] Strengthening of the export capacity of Romania - a programme launched
by the Ministry of Industry and Trade together with the Romanian Center of
Foreign Trade
The Ministry of Industry and Trade alongside the Romanian Center of Foreign
Trade have launched the project STRENGTHENING OF THE EXPORT CAPACITY OF
ROMANIA financed by the Government of Switzerland and the Romanian UNDP
Office. According to the Swiss Ambassador to Romania, Jean-Claude Joseph,
the duration of the project is of two years. It provides for aid for the
development of export production and diversification of markets for
products of two industrial branches: textiles, ready made clothes as well
as wood made furniture. The same project provides for information to all
small and medium sized companies all over the territory of Romania with
regard to export opportunities.

agriculture, administration and good health of the family at the Chamber of
Deputies.
Press Conference of the minister of industry and trade Radu Berceanu with
answers to the media to all questions asked.
In the interval 1 - 15 August treasury bonds and vouchers are being sold
against hard currency by Banc Post and Banca Agricola, their nominal value
is of 500 USD and 500 DM.
The national Bank of Romania starts circulating today a golden coin, for
numismatic purposes only, witha nominal value of 5000 lei which is devoted
to the anniversary of 400 years since the union of Wallachia, Transylvania
and Moldova under Michael the Valliant.
