[01] Membership of the new Cabinet of RomaniaRADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI received a fax message signed by PM designate Mugur Isarescu with the membership of the new Cabinet of Romania. Here it is: Mugur Isarescu - Prime Minister, Mircea Ciumara - State Minister, President of the Council of Economic and Financial Coordination, Petre Roman - State Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Valeriu Stoica - State Minister, Minister of Justice, Hajdu Gabor - State Minister, Minister of Health, Constantin Dudu Ionescu - Home Affairs Minister, Victor Babiuc - Defense Minister, Decebal Traian Remes - Minister of Finance, Smaranda Dobrescu - Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Radu Berceanu - Minister of Industry and Commerce, Ioan Avram Muresan -Minister of Food and Agriculture, Traian Basescu - Minister of Transports, Nicolae Noica - Minister of Public Works and Territorial Planning, Romica Tomescu - Minister of Waters, Forests and Environmental Protection, Andrei Marga - Minister of National Education, Ion Caramitru Minister of Culture, Crin Antonescu - Minister of Youth and Sports, Vlad Rosca - Minister of the Public Function, Peter Kovacs Eckstein - minister delegate with the Prime Minister for National Minorities, Radu Stroe - secretary general of the Government. RADOR[02] Statement of Prime Minister Mugur IsarescuPM designate Mugur Isarescu released a statement which was quoted by RADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI on Sunday according to which he accepted to be Prime Minister although he had thought that the country needed a political government led by a political personality as in exceptional situations there is a need of exceptional solutions if the solutions are part of the legal framework." I accept to be designated to the function of Prime Minister in conditions of abiding by the Constitution of the country as I firmly believe that we should not fail the Helsinki opening and also thinking that by overcoming political crisis as soon as possible Romania will win " - said Mugur Isarescu. He added that he was encouraged by public oppinion polls that show the Romanians do not wish to have early elections and also by the reality that, we quote:"Divergencies between the Power and the Opposition, misunderstandings among the parties that make up the ruling coalition, all this did not stop dialog with the arbitrage of the President of the country for overcoming the political crisis". Mugur Isarescu also said that if he is invested by the Parliament of Romania he was ready to ensure a pragmatic, coherent and rigurous exercise of the act of act of governing and his forte was his political independence. " I will struggle so that from within the Government of Romania I shall disseminate the conviction that our future is better" mentions Mugur Isarescu. He adds that the programme of his government establishes the goals for 2000 and namely the halving of the rate of inflation and the resumption of economic increase next year RADOR[03] Meeting of the PM designate with the leaders of the ruling coalitionFinalization of the governing programme of the Isarescu Cabinet was the main subject of the talks on Sunday between PM designate Mugur Isarescu and leaders of the ruling coalition. PNTCD leader Ion Diaconescu said in a statement quoted by RADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI that " it is a very serious programme,a decent one that ultimately brings about the bettering of the living standards, will bring about increase of the IGP and ultimately better performances than those until now". In his turn Minister of Health Hajdu Gabor specifies that some of the points of the governing programme received more attention:" the issue of the special budget funds in the first place. It was said that there are several funds which obstruct the global budget, the national budget and in this sense it was decided that these funds should be eliminated.We had this kind of discussions in the Vasile cabinet as well. The programme estimates that these efforts and objectives are in direct relation to the efforts and objectives of the previous Cabinet". RADOR[04] Manifestations devoted to the December 1989 Revolution here in BucharestThe museum of the city of Bucharest in cooperation with the Association for the honoring and commemoration of the Hero Martyrs of December 1989 hosted on Sunday the varnishing of the exhibition THE MARTYRS OF DECEMBER 1989 informs RADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI. On the same occasion the photographic album was edited under the title MIRACLE 89. Father Galeriu estimated that the Romanians gave the world a miracle, an icon, a unique model of a revolution. The President of the Association for the Honoring and Commemoration of the Martyrs, Anghel Cioran, said that the situation must be judged without bitterness and those that committed crimes during the revolution must be tried without spite. RADOR Meeting in Bucharest of former sovereign of Romania with Romanian and foreign mediaKing Mihai I met on Sunday with Romanian and foreign media and told them the following:" I have invited you here because I respect your profession although I do not appreciate everything written by our media.I do not doubt the intentions of the political class of Romania but I doubt the stability of the political order and the possibility to bring about the prosperity that we need so much. I criticize directly the entire system which hinders democracy by the way it is created. We do not need an endless revolution. We must conclude the 1989 Revolution " said in his message King Mihai I quoted by RADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI. [05] End of the first congress of the Youth Organization of the Romanian National PartyAccording to RADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI the Congress elected Dan Ana while vice-president is Cezar Pasca. The leader of the party, Virgil Magureanu said that particular accent is laid on the promotion of the young people so that 30 per cent of the people on the lists of the Party should be made up of young people. RADOR[06] Tractor producing plant TRACTORUL SA of Brasov was dividedTen commercial companies are now the former tractor producing factory of Brasov. All equipment, staff and debts of the former company are now part of each of the ten newly created companies. It is hoped that quality of products will increase while losses will be much smaller.
