[01] President Rugova Receives Swedish and Swiss Representatives
PRISHTINA, Feb 4 (KIC) - The President of the Republic of Kosova Ibrahim
Rugova received Wednesday a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
of Sweden, headed by Robert Rydberg, Deputy Head of the Department for
European Security. The delegation was accompanied by Julius Liljestrom from
the Swedish Embassy in Belgrade.
In a separate meeting, President Rugova received a delegation from the
Swiss Parliament, headed by Dr. Ulrich Schler, and accompanied by the
Charge d 'Affaires in the Swiss Embassy in Belgrade, Lorenzo Amberg.
In the meetings, the current situation in Kosova and the preparations
underway for the Rambouillet conference on an interim agreement for Kosova
were discussed.
[02] Members of the Kosovar Delegation to Rambouillet Conference
PRISHTINA, Feb 4 (KIC) - The following are the members of the Kosovar
delegation to the Rambouillet conference on Kosova, due to begin on
Saturday: Ibrahim Rugova, Bujar Bukoshi, Fehmi Agani, Edita Tahiri, Idriz
Ajeti, Mark Krasniqi, Hashim Tha^i, Jakup Krasniqi, Azem Syla, Xhavit
Haliti, Ram& Buja, Rexhep Qosja, Hydajet Hyseni, Bajram Kosumi, Mehmet
Hajrizi, Veton Surroi and Blerim Shala.
The LDK, the U^K and the LBD are the three power blocs represented in the
delegation.
Others members have been included in the list under obscure if not
preposterous rubrics, such as 'independent intellectuals/politicians' or
even 'independent leaders' (sic!).
That is, people who have been hand-picked by Conference organizers,
although they represent nobody in Kosova.
[03] Serbian Forces Attack Llapashtic& Village Today
PRISHTINA, Feb 4 (KIC) - Serbian military and police forces resumed today
their attack of Llapashtic& village, Podujeva municipality, local LDK
sources said.
The village was shelled around 11:00 CET from Serb positions at 'Tabet e
Llapashtic&s', a couple km south-west of Podujeva, northern Kosova.
Gunfire was heard coming from that position Wednesday evening, around 18:00
CET, too.
Three busloads of Serb paramilitary policemen left Podujeva for Peran
village, four km north, at noon today. Peran is where Serbian army tanks
and troops have been deployed for weeks now, restricting movement of the
Albanian population on the Podujeva-K&rpimeh roadway.
Serbian police have kept the town of Podujeva under a tight grip today, LDK
sources said.
Belgrade has massed tanks and troops in the Kosovar Llapi region since
Christmas, in clear violation of the October cease-fire brokered by
Ambassador Holbrooke. Scores of thousands of Albanians have fled their
villages, and around two dozen Albanians killed in this period.
[04] Five Albanians Killed in Unsolved Circumstances in Kosova
Three Albanians shot dead in their car near De^an
PRISHTINA, Feb 4 (KIC) - Serbian police took today the bodies of four
Albanians to the town morgue in Gjakova.
LDK sources said three Albanians were taken from Lluka e Ep&rme village of
De^an, whereas the fourth one from Rastavica village.
Three Albanians - Ali Pajazitaj (27), Fazli Morina (30), and Albert Sejdiaj
(25) - were killed in their car in yet unsolved circumstances between the
villages of Lluk& e Ep&rme and Isniq on Wednesday evening, LDK sources
said. They were fired on with automatic weapons.
Meanwhile, sources from Mitrovica said the body of Ymer Rexhepi (43),
resident of Frash&r ('Svinjare') village of Mitrovica, was found Wednesday
morning at Lip& village of Mitrovica, on the Rashka-Prishtina highway.
Ymer was killed with fire-arms, at close range. His face was blown away,
sources said.
