    TIRANE, Nov.7 (ata) - Albanian Prime Minister Ilir Meta guaranteed on Saturday U.S. President Bill Clinton in a message of greeting that Albania will remain a staunch ally of the U.S. and NATO in the challenges of the coming millennium, said to ATA the press department close to the prime minister's office.

    Meta held on Saturday a meeting with the U.S. Ambassador in Tirana, Joseph Limprecht, and handed over to him a message of thanks for the U.S. President Bill Clinton.

    In this message, Albanian Prime Minister expresses his thanks to U.S. President on occasion of his congratulations for Meta's election to the post of the Prime Minister.

    "My government and I consider this message a great support and encouragement on our road of reforms and democracy in Albania," said meta.

    Through this message, PM Meta informed President Clinton that the program of his government, adopted in the Parliament, is based on the priority of the strategic partnership of Albania with the U.S.

    "You, President Clinton, have become for us, Albanians, a symbol of freedom, especially during the greatest drama that the Albanian people passed with the crisis of Kosova. Allow me to confirm to You that Albania will remain a strong ally of the U.S. and NATO in the challenges of the coming millennium," writes Albanian Premier in his message of U.S. President Clinton. /xh/

    [02] Contemporary German-English photography in a joint exhibition

    TIRANE, Nov. 7 (ata) - By K Shehu: The International Fair Klik Ekspo Klik which will open in Tirana on Nov. 25, 1999 will also have an exhibition of the contemporary German-English photography.

    The exhibition will be displayed in the International Cultural Centre in Tirana and will continue until Nov. 30, 1999.

    Eleven German artists will present their works which will then be selected by the curator Matias Hayder, while the British artists, whose number is not yet determined, will be selected by the renowned curator in the field of photography, Jan Jeffrey.

    The works of German and British artists will be reportedly included also in a catalogue, whose publication will be made possible by the organisers of the Fairs.

    The German curator Heider and the British one, Jeffrey, during their stay in Tirana, are expected to give lectures for the students of figurative arts in the Fine Arts Academy in Tirana on the development of the German and British contemporary photography. /dast/xh/

    [03] Bulent Ecevit sends message of congratulations to Albanian Premier Ilir Meta

    TIRANE, Nov. 7 (ata) - Turkish Premier Bulent Ecevit congratulated through a message Mr Ilir Meta on his appointment to the post of the Prime Minister of Albania, the press office of the Prime Minister told ATA on Sunday.

    In his message, the Turkish PM assured his Albanian counterpart the "Turkish determination to boost the friendly relations between our countries and support for the efforts Albania is making to be integrated as soon as possible in the Euro-Atlantic structures." /dast/xh/
