TIRANA, June 12 (ATA) - Many protesters who have led the anti-mafia demonstrations last year in Vlora are thought to be eliminated mysteriously, the daily Koha Jone said in an article on Friday.

The daily quoted prosecutors of the General Prosecutor's office, who actually are studying video materials recorded in Vlora, a city in the South of Albania, as saying that some protesters being at the head of the demonstrations, firstly peaceful, calling for the money lending to the Gjallica firm, have not lived long after the revolts.

Sources at the investigation team said to the daily that they had been killed shortly after the protests in mysteriously circumstances, covered by the mystery of war or orgy of violence in which Albania had been plunged.

While the statistics of the city of Vlora revealed higher figures of casualties said to be killed in war between gangs, raids or defending life and property, none could know that those killed were the persons who led the crowds, the daily said.
