[01] SALVATION COMMITTEE CREATED IN FIERFIER, MARCH 12 (ATA)- The Salvation Committee was created last night in the Fier city. It was created by consensus of all the political parties, as an indispensable need to stabilise the situation.The chairman of this committee was elected Petro Kuci, chairman of the district SP branch and secretary Kristul Moci, secretary of the DP branch in the Fier district. The local government institutions and private enterprises and firms have been normally operating.A statement in support of the national reconciliation accord reached between President Berisha and 10 political parties of the country was drafted during a meeting with political parties leaders. The Elbasan prefect, Tonin Alimhilli, told ATA that the Cerrik town of this district that on Tuesday a group of youths looted weapons from a military barracks and fired into the air, but they were not backed by the inhabitants, on the contrary the sowed panic among them. Fejzullai, The Korce prefecture Defence Council, presided over by Prefect Pjerin Kiri, analysed today the situation in this prefecture and measures to maintain law and order.The council's members reported that in the districts of Korce, Pogradec and Devoll the situation has been calm, the market has been regularly supplied with food stuff and controls have been carried out on respecting the ceiling prices for the 29 food items. The council called on the citizens for peace and not fall prey to rumors spreading the psychosis of fear. The council also called on the public order forces to implement their tasks conform the law. Baci, The Prime Minister of the Government of National Reconciliation, Bashkim Fino, today, at 13:00, began separate meetings with representatives of 10 political parties to listen to their suggestions on the concrete names for the portfolios distributed to these parties during talks held with the President of the Republic.After the meeting with leaders of these parties Fino is expected to hold a news briefing to declare the new government's composition. lm/k Albanian Telegraphic Agency[07] MEKSI TRANSFERS OFFICE TO NEW PREMIER BASHKIM FINOTIRANA, MARCH 12 (ATA)- Prime Minister Aleksander Meksi on Wednesday transfered office to the Prime Minister of the Government of National Reconciliation, Bashkim Fino.In a message addressed to the Albanian people, Meksi says: "Albanians should think of themselves, Albania and their own children. The only thing I would ask from all the people is to start the quick process of disarmament, institution refunctioning, dialogue between the political forces and the recovery of the Albanian economy. This would be the first thing for the Albanians to do, if they love Albania, their own children and future". a.ke/kei/lm Albanian Telegraphic Agency[08] PREMIER FINO FINDS SOLUTION OF SITUATION IN ALBANIA AT DIALOGUE AMONG POLITICAL FORCESTIRANA, MARCH 12 (ATA) - The newly elected Premier of the Government for the National Reconciliation, Bashkim Fino, finds the solution of the situation at the dialogue among the political forces and at the understanding among them, as well as at the dialogue with the people who are angry and revolted.Filo told this during the first interview for the Albanian Television after being appointed Albanian Premier. "Today, the duty of the Albanian Premier is a very difficult one for the current situation in our country. This would be done by every patriot and honest Albanian in these difficult moments for our country", said Fino. According to Fino, the new government would have a great job to solve the very urgent and sharp problems of Albania today. With regard to the support for this government, Fino said that this government should be supported not only by the Albanian political forces, but also by the European Community, and especially by USA, because Albania is an European country. "The European countries themselves are not interested to have a chaotic situation in Albania in these difficult moments. I think this support is not given to Premier Fino, but to all Albanians, to the Albanian nation", said Fino further on. Fino expressed the idea that the relations of the government with the staffs of public salvation established in Southern districts, should be relations of understanding and talks, to listen the options of one another. Fino does not consider the program of the Socialist Party as a referring point for the government he heads. "This government has a limited mandate and is established on the basis of the dialogue between the Albanian President and political parties", said Fino. Today, the road of Bajram Curri was patrolled by the police forces, and are trying not to allow shotguns in the town. Large crowds of people stormed and looted Tuesday morning the armament in two centers of the Bajram Curri brigade, in Fierze and Bajram Curri. At the same time, the food articles and other equipment of the military barracks were looted. The warehouse of the state reserve was plundered Wednesday morning looting a large quantity of wheat. Some 10 km far from Elbasan, near Mjekes village, according to some sources, the inhabitants of the village have stormed a military barracks, looting the weapons, but the police intervened and took all the weapons from them. Zekthi: Today, at about 10.00 a.m., a group of 20-30 people, who had come from Cerrik by cars, stormed a military unit in Mjekes village, some 5 km far from Elbasan, seizing later a large quantity of armament there.The eyewitnesses told ATA that the police forces of Elbasan called on them to surrender the weapons, but a part of them did not accepted, escaping in the nearby fields. In the above group were also some minors. In these moments, according to the sources from police commissariat, two people from this group, Viron Malja, 35, and Ardian Rapushja, 23, inhabitants of Cerriku, were shot dead due to the uncontrolled use of weapons. The procedures which were annulled have been started first as destruction of common wealth, illegal gatherings, etc., while the investigations against the military had to do with accuses such as abuse of office, desertion, violation of rules while being on watch, etc. All the detained for these penal acts were set free.
