SARAJEVO - The Government of Republika Srpska /RS/ adopted in Pale the
decision on Provisional financing from the Republican Budget and
Information on preparations for making Budget for next year, which will be
supported by the part of Credit recently signed in Washington. It is
highlighted that the Ministry of Finance of RS will consult all other
ministries during planning the Budget for 1998, and that the final proposal
will include financing Embassies and representatives of RS in Joint Organs.
In the first part of the session, behind the closed doors, was
adopted the decision on approving use of the funds from Japanese aid, which
RS Government has got from Japanese Government.
SARAJEVO - On the occasion of coming Christmas festivities the Ministry of
Religions of RS sent a congratulation to all Catholic clergy and believers,
as well as to military and civilian missions in our Republic.
BRCKO - In the Brcko's private enterprise "Agrosidex", which owner is Jovan
Puric, these days started operativness of one of three international bank
credits, which came to this city. It is the credit amounting 650,000 German
Marks, which came through American organisation USAID, which will be spent
for construction of brand new production capacity - sawmill with
accompanying elements for wood production, starting from by-products and
finished products.
MODRICA - Oil Refinery Modrica and the State Enterprise "Energopetrol" will
sign at the beginning of January the contract about business cooperation in
the year of 1998, has been agreed at the meeting of the leadership of these
two enterprises in Modrica. At the meeting the tasks about disposal of oil
and lubricant in the next year have been agreed and previous
results of the cooperation between these two biggest producers and
distributors of oil products in RS have been reviewed.
SPLIT - Croatian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mate Granic warned that the
continuation of trend of reducing of the number of Croats in Federation of
B&H "because of the radicalisation" should lead to "definite loss of
interest of Croats in Federation". In the interview for "Free Dalmacija" he
assessed that recent arrest of two Croats from Vitez, suspected for war
crimes, "is bringing into question credibility of Hague Tribunal,
considering the fact that the major suspects are at large in B&H", not
citing concretely any name.
