NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - The President of the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) Presidency Aleksa Buha charged the President Of Republika Srpska (RS) Biljana Plavsic that she during the disbanding of the National Assembly had wished to create a new structure of power, while possible joining in "Train and Equip" programme means renouncing of independent and accepting the joint army. Buha warned in the last night broadcast of the Radio-Television Serbia (RTS) that the conflict between top leaders of RS had caused much damage to RS and that National Assembly is elected in accordance with OSCE rules which had supervised it work and did not have any larger objections.

SARAJEVO - The Head of the RS Army General-staff brigadier general Pero Colic assessed that the outgoing SFOR Deputy Commander general Cordie Simpson "had gave his full contribution to preserving of the peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina". "Thanks to military persistence of general Simpson, a new military conflicts did not erupted in B&H, and I am grateful to him in my personal and in the name of RS Army and RS people" - emphasised general Colic in the statement for SRNA.

SARAJEVO - The RS Government Vice-President for Internal Politic Dragan Kijac warned that the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) is "a very important segment of stability in the current situation when the RS army is in barracks and that is the main reason why the international community had done everything, with Mrs. Biljana Plavsic assistance, to proclaim the legal MUP as uncooperative". In the broadcast "Government Talks" of the Orthodox Radio-station "St. John", he emphasised that "an attempt to push the SDS aside is the attempt to carry out the politic of the international community which has an aim to destabilise RS with the assistance of RS President".

SARAJEVO - The one square meter of area of apartment cost 175 DM and the redemption price of an average apartment of 60 square meters will be between 2 000 and 2 500 DM - stated the RS Minister for urbanism and civil engineering Ratko Misanovic.

TREBINJE - At the forthcoming elections we will not elect only the representatives for National Assembly we will solve destiny of RS and our own destiny - it is a message from the yesterdays SDS pre-election tribune in Trebinje.

BIJELJINA - The RS President and the President of Serbian National Union (SNS) Biljana Plavsic called, at the yesterday pre-election rally in Bijeljina, voters to vote for the party which will "provide theirs future, economic progress and survival at these areas" and that is SNS.

PRIJEDOR - Military and political commentator Miroslav Lazanski emphasised yesterday in Prijedor the necessity of Dayton Agreement implementation because as he said "it is time for clear thinking and not for slogans about `empyrean nation`".

SARAJEVO - The NATO General Secretary Havier Solana stated in Sarajevo that the international community will guarantee safety to all citizens which want to come out and vote at forthcoming parliamentary elections in RS - reports Radio Serbian Sarajevo. "We will not tolerate any violence and everyone will be free to vote" - emphasised Solana and expressed hope that "those which care about Dayton Agreement, peace and future" will get majority of votes.

BANJALUKA - The President of Serbian Patriotic Party Slavko Zupljanin denounced in Banjaluka some parties in RS that they trying to delude Serbian people with the statements, in theirs pre-elections campaigns, that the revision of Dayton Agreement is possible.

NOVI SAD - The refugees which are situated in municipalities Sremski Karlovci, Beocin and Novi Sad, during the parliamentary elections in RS on November 22th and 23th can vote at two pooling stations in Novi Sad.

BRCKO - The IPTF spokeswoman Cathy Leden stated for SRNA that 284 police officers in Brcko participated on two-day seminar about reconstruction of the RS police forces.
