"We talked about questions which are important for both sides - RS President and German Ministry of Foreign Affairs" - explained Mr. Paulus without giving further details.BANJALUKA - The RS President Biljana Plavsic received in Banjaluka delegation of the non-governmental and refugees organisations from the Federal Republic Yugoslavia (FRY) which have a primary task to provide aid and to take care about refugees and displaced persons status in FRY. The delegation introduced Ms. Plavsic with activities of this body and with questions which are related with returning of displaced and exiled persons theirs homes. President Plavsic emphasised, after the meeting, that returning is according to Dayton Agreement an individual right of any single person and that is in this case a more effective work of the commissions for property-legal relations needed. SARAJEVO - The President in Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H) Presidency from Republika Srpska (RS) Momcilo Krajisnik notified the High Representative in B&H Carlos Westendorp about activity of the Serbian representatives in Brcko arbitration process and importance of the local elections results implementation in this town. After the meeting Krajisnik emphasised that RS is interested for successful implementation of the local elections results in Brcko what should be, according to his opinion, a prerequisite for after arbitration decision, remaining of this town in RS. SARAJEVO - The Prime Minister of RS Government Gojko Klickovic talked in Pale with the deputy Head of the World Bank in B&H Somia Mitra about conclusions of the World Bank Mission for supporting the privatisation programme in RS. According to statement of the Minister for Economic Relations with Foreign Countries deputy Slavisa Rakovic the Mission had assessed preparations for privatisation of banks and enterprises as high- quality ones. SARAJEVO - The deputy Head of the World Bank in B&H Somia Mitra stated in Pale that the World Bank is ready to support the Privatisation project in RS and to provide technical aid in his realisation. Mr. Mitra during talks with the President in B&H Presidency from RS Momcilo Krajisnik and with Head of the Office for Privatisation and Development Aleksa Milojevic, explained that the World Bank is ready to provide financial and specialistic aid through teams for the organisation of the financial market, organisation of the stock market, creating of the laws about stock exchange and financial markets etc. BANJALUKA - The third attempt of the City Parliament in Banjaluka to elect a new Mayor and to establish a new executive authority is ended in excess situation, when the session was interrupted, and without any concrete agreement. SARAJEVO - At the session of the Temporary Election Commission (PIK) in Sarajevo a dates for establishing the new municipal authorities in RS and FB&H were fixed - this was confirmed to SRNA by RS member of the PIK Slobodan Kovac. Mr. Kovac emphasised that a large number of parties and independent candidates had submitted complaints to PIK because they were not allowed to participate at forthcoming parliamentary elections in RS. MUNICH - The NATO General Secretary Havier Solana called on convoking of the International Conference about B&H because of securing the peace process - reports DPA. "International Community has a long term obligation in these regions and after expiring of the SFOR mandate in 1998" - stated Solana at the symposium in Munich dedicated to the late German politician Franz Joseph Strauss. BANJALUKA - According to OHR Spokesman Simon Haselock statement, two Customs Commissions had established that 43 million US dollars has poured in illegal channels instead in RS and FB&H budgets. "According to first report the FB&H budget is damaged for 23 million US dollars and to the second, another 20 millions had passed by RS and FB&H budgets" - stated Haselock at the press conference in Banjaluka. VUKOVAR - The President of the Serbian National Party (SNS) Milan Djukic warned the Special UN Human Rights Envoy Elizabeth Rehn that giving support to official authority covers the real situation of human rights in Croatia.
