NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJALUKA - The head of the Army of Republika Srpska (VSR) General Staff, general Pero Colic stated in Banjaluka that the Serb Army is firmly determined to maintain peace and protect the Serbian people, but warned at ever frequent threats coming from the Muslim military leadership. Colic organised a reception in the VRS Central Club in Banjaluka regarding May 12 the VRS Day for military attaches of Hungarian, US, Turkish, French, German and Slovenian Embassies.

BANJALUKA - A meeting between delegations of the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) and the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) started in Banjaluka in a follow-up of April 24 talks. The SDS delegation is led by its acting president Aleksa Buha, and HDZ delegation is led by its president Bozo Raic.

BRCKO - Brcko is the unique city in RS, and it hangs between justice, politics and great powers' interests - this is a conclusion from the "Legal Aspect of the Brcko Award" round table held in Brcko with professors Smilja Avramov, Kosta Caroski, Budimir Kosutic, Dragutin Mirkovic and Vitomir Popovic taking part.

TREBINJE - Three Serbs reported their expulsion from Lubuski three days ago to the international police in Trebinje. According to them, they were "mistreated during the war, and over a year after the singing of the Dayton agreement, Croats forcibly drove them to the line of separation between RS and Federation of B-H at Dol, near Stolac.

BANJALUKA - The Serbian Radical Party (SRS) condemns intentions of the Muslim leadership who's trying to keep monopoly on representation of all three peoples in B-H, stated the SRS spokesman Ognjen Tadic, in a reaction to yesterday's cancellation of the House of Representatives and House of Peoples sessions in Sarajevo, due to obstruction by Muslim party.

BANJALUKA - All misunderstandings within the B-H Presidency, especially those concerning protocol, should be timely resolved, for they are detrimental for all parties in B-H, especially for RS, stated the president of the Socialist Party for RS, Zivko Radisic.

DOBOJ - The workers of the "Dobojputevi" construction enterprise removed improperly set table with B-H Federation signs in Stanica Rijeka, announced the Public Security Centre in Doboj. At the Doboj-Tuzla highway, Muslim authorities set table with title "Tuzla-Podrinje Canton" almost one kilometre into RS territory.

PARIS - In the organisation of the "Father Justin Brethren", The Eighteenth Congress of the Serbs began in Montgeron, and His Eminency Bishop Rasko- Prizrenski Artemije will be the guest.
