NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA
SARAJEVO - The president from Republika Srpska (RS) in the B-H Presidency,
Momcilo Krajisnik, talked in Pale with the European Parliament
representative for former Yugoslav countries Ari Ostlander about the
implementation of the Dayton agreement and the functioning of the joint
institutions in RS and the Federation of B-H. President Krajisnik thanked
Ostlander for his interest for the current situation in RS and Federation.
Ostlander said talks were interesting and "beneficial for people in B-H".
SARAJEVO - OHR spokesman, Colum Murphy, stated in Sarajevo that the donors
conference for B-H was delayed again due to lack of political interest in
this country, reports DPA. "Without substantial progress in the Council of
Ministers, without adoption of a package of main laws for B-H, there will
be no donors conference upon which the further financing of the B-H
reconstruction is dependent", explained Murphy.
GRADISKA - Holy Liturgy was held in church in Gradiska in memory for all
soldiers and civilians from the Republic of the Sprska Krajina missing or
killed in Croatian aggression on Western Slavonija on May 1 and 2, 1995.
SARAJEVO - The municipal elections in RS and B-H Federation will be held on
September 14 and 15 and they will not represent an opportunity for citizens
to visit their former places of living, stated OSCE spokesman in Sarajevo,
David Foly. "We have five months to organise municipal elections, and if we
do not organise the elections in September they will not be held
at all", stated Foly and added that the elections will not be postponed
anymore.
