NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - The President from Republika Srpska (RS) in the B-H Presidency, Momcilo Krajisnik, wished happy Easter holidays to His Holiness Patriarch of the Serbs, Pavle, clergy of the Serbian Orthodox Church, and all Orthodox Serbs in the country and abroad.

SARAJEVO - The president of the RS National Assembly, Dragan Kalinic, sent greetings to the Orthodox Serbs in RS, Federation of B-H and Diaspora regarding Easter.

VIENNA - The UN administrator in the Srem-Baranja District, Jacques Klein, favoured the demilitarisation of the 50 square kilometres of the bordering area between the Srem-Baranja District and Serbia. In an interview for the German paper "Presse", Klein explained that the UNTAES prime task is "the stabilisation and demilitarisation of the Serb-Croat border on the Danube", "which is a an important step forward in the bolstering of peace in the area in the future".

SARAJEVO - The representatives of the international organisations conditioned the allocation of the financial aid to RS by the renewal of the legal process against three Muslim terrorists, convicted in Zvornik for the murder of four Serb civilians, stated OHR spokesman, Colum Murphy in Sarajevo.

HAMBURG - The International Tribunal for war crimes in former Yugoslavia, intends to start a proceeding against Muslim "big fish, responsible for the torturing of the Serbs in the Celebici camp, regardless of their post and honour they enjoy". The "Frankfurter Ranuschau" correspondent in the Hague reports that the court process against three Muslims and one Croat accused of crimes committed in the Celebici camp is followed only by "a handful of journalists".

PARIS - Even though the French state radio broadcast a story that multi- national forces arrested a group of allegedly missing Muslims from Srebrenica who admitted that they were killing the civilians in RS, the Paris paper "Liberation" writes that these terrorists admitted crimes because under pressure. This paper, known by its anti-Serb articles, calls the "the mockery of justice" the legal process which was closed yesterday in Zvornik against seven Muslim terrorists who killed four Serbs in the vicinity of Milici and burned their remains, while their sentences were assessed as "severe".

SARAJEVO - The RS member in the Commission for Demining, Radislav Ilic, stated that more has been done in the first four months this year in the mine clearance activities in RS and Federation of B-H than through last year. He pointed out at the responsibilities of the international community to provide funds for the successful removal of mines.

PODGORICA - During last two years, 220 refugees from Drvar, who lived in Yugoslavia, committed suicide, while every eighth refugee from the Krajina dies because of difficult life conditions, claims the political paper "Srpske Novine". The paper published an appealing story by Milos Petrovic, a refugee from Petrovac, who said that in 365 days of his refugee, 850 his countrymen died.
