SARAJEVO - A member of the Dayton B-H Presidency from Republika Srpska (RS)
Momcilo Krajisnik and deputy high representative Michael Steiner discussed
agenda of November 5 Presidency session due to be held in Serb Sarajevo.
Following his meeting with Momcilo Krajisnik in Pale, Michael Steiner
stressed the necessity of formation of Ministerial Council of the Dayton B-
H, and added that rules should be set within next week to prevent illegal
arrests and make an improvement in the POW release process.
BANJALUKA - Director of the World Bank for the Dayton B-H, Kristin Walsh,
stated that international financial institutions would intensify their
investments into RS in the next year in order to keep pace with investments
made in the B-H Federation. During the next three to four years
international monetary institutions would implement a number of commercial
and humanitarian projects estimated to US $ 1.4 billion, stated Ms. Walsh.
BIJELJINA - The RS minister for education and culture, Nedeljko Rasula
talked in Bijeljina with a delegation of Luzicki Serbs from Germany which
arrived to RS in order to establish economic and cultural ties.
BEOGRAD - About 1,000 demonstrators protested in Belgrade the arrest of
president of the Independent Union of City Transport Workers, Dragoljub
Stosic. Leaders of the coalition "Together" assessed at the demonstrations
that "holding the union leader and the coalition's candidate for the
election in prison endangers properness of the elections."
