    BINGOL - Crisis Center, which was set up after the quake in southeastern Bingol province, said on Friday that 115 people died and 503 others were injured in the quake.

    [02] GENERAL STAFF SAYS NATURAL DISASTER SEARCH-RESCUE BATTALION PULLED OUT 13 PEOPLE ALIVE AND SEVEN DEAD BODIES FROM DEBRIS

    ANKARA - General Staff said on Friday that Special Forces Command Natural Disaster Search and Rescue (DAK) battalion, which was sent to southeastern Bingol province after the quake, pulled out 13 people alive and seven dead bodies from debris of Celtiksuyu in Bingol.

    ANKARA - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday called on citizens of southeastern Bingol province to calm down, stating that, ''their sorrows are our sorrows. An administration which is sensitive on the issue is at the ruling.''

    BINGOL - Tension, which started with the protests of citizens as they could not get tents, and which later escalated in front of governor's office, was calmed down. Citizens threw stones on the police vehicles and broke windows of the governor's office.

    ANKARA - Public Works and Housing Ministry Disaster Affairs Directorate General said on Friday that 500 billion Turkish liras (TL) of urgent aid was sent to the quake zone.

    ANKARA - State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener said on Friday that there were 38 activities in the Emergency Action Plan which should be wholly or partially completed in six months. He said efforts were underway for completion of those activities.
