WASHINGTON - World Bank will approve 450 million U.S. dollars tranche
of loan of the Programatic Financial and Public Sector Adjustment Loan
(PFPSAL-2) to Turkey next week.

WASHINGTON - International Monetary Fund (IMF) European One Department
Director Michael Deppler said on Wednesday that economic program would
continue despite the elections that would take place in Turkey on
November 3, stressing that IMF delegation would be in Turkey in October
for the workings for next tranche of loan.

ISTANBUL - Energy and Natural Resources Minister Zeki Cakan said on
Wednesday that, ''we have agreed on the proposal of the Israeli side to
purchase annually 50 million cubic meters of water for 20 years from
Manavgat River.'

WASHINGTON/ANKARA - International Monetary Fund (IMF) Executive Board
on Wednesday approved to release nearly 1.1 billion U.S. dollars
tranche of loan to Turkey.

Toskay stated on Wednesday that problems of the agriculture sector and
the recent flood were the major topics of today's Council of Ministers'
meeting. He added that Prime Minister Bulent Eccevit instructed all
related ministers to bring an urgent solution to the problems of the
Turkish agriculture.

AGAINST TURKEY IS NOT A CONSTRUCTIVE APPROACH
ANKARA - Foreign Ministry Spokesman Yusuf Buluc has said that some
recent EU statements were focusing on the implementation of EU reforms
that were passed by the Turkish Parliament on Aug. 3 and added that
''presenting the reforms' implemention as an obstacle in front of
Turkey was not a constructive approach.''
