GAZIANTEP - The national income per capita is foreseen to increase by
106 percent as the Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) is completed.

Turkey (TOBB) left on Sunday for Spain.

ISTANBUL - Automotive sales decreased by 54 percent in the first half
of this year when compared with the same period last year.

ANKARA - Ismail Cem, who resigned from his post as foreign minister and
from the Democratic Left Party (DSP), said on Sunday that they would
start a process on Monday to become a party, stressing that they needed
three months to make the ''new formation'' to get prepared for
elections.

IPSALA - Ipsala Border Gate in northwestern Edirne province exported
products worth of 2 million 224 thousand U.S. dollars in the first
half of this year.

ISTANBUL - Anadolu Honda Inc. will start to export Honda Civic cars to
China under an agreement with Chinese National Mineral and Mine Export
and Import Company.

ANKARA - Talks are about to be completed regarding first 50 helicopters
regarding the procurement of 145 Attack/Tactical Reconnaissance

ISTANBUL - U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz arrived in
Istanbul on Sunday.

GAZIANTEP - Cereal, grain exports from Southeastern Anatolia Project
(GAP) region decreased by 44.6 percent to 27 million 646 thousand U.S.
dollars in the first half of this year.

ANKARA - True Path Party (DYP) leader Tansu Ciller called on Sunday
that the parliament should be opened immediately and set an election
