SHOCKING CONFESSION FROM THE GREEK AMBASSADOR
The shocking interrogation of Kostulas, Greek Ambassador who hid Abdullah Ocalan, terrorist chief, in Nairobi which lasted 23 hours, stirred Greece. Kostulas said that Pangalos, then Greek Foreign Minister ordered them at 14 February to ''make him (Ocalan) faint, and wrap him in bed sheets, and leave him in a hotel, and leave some money with him.'' Kostulas said that Athens sent four intelligence members to this aim, but later he was suspicious that Ocalan was carrying a bag full of explosives, and they were afraid that Ocalan can blow the embassy building, thus they gave up their plan.

Kostulas continued, ''Athens started to make pressure at 5 February. The aide of Pangalos asked us to throw Ocalan from the embassy. 'He may go wherever he wants. He can go to safari if he wants' he said. Ocalan resisted.''

Kostulas said that Kenya Foreign Ministry summoned him and said ''either hand over Ocalan or we raid the embassy building'' on 15 February. He said that Kenyan police came up the same day at 17.00.

Noting that they warned the U.S. on that issue, Ecevit said, ''the U.S has recently started to hit Northern Iraq without any reason while there was not any provacative situation.''

''This creates uneasiness in Turkey. Earlier, the U.S. hit the bases in Northern Iraq by obeying some specific rules,'' Ecevit said.

Meanwhile, Deniz Baykal, the leader of the CHP, said the CHP will exceed the barrier despite all negative guiding efforts.

[02] PRIME MINISTER ECEVIT ADDRESSES TRT - ''I AM SURPRISED AT THE CONTINUATION OF SUCH VIOLENT ACTIVITIES OF THE PEOPLE WHO CALL THEMSELVES AS MARXIST-COMMUNIST'' - ''THREE OR FOUR RAIDERS THINK THEY CAN DESTROY THE STATE. IT IS BEYOND DAY-DREAMING, IT IS HEEDLESSNESS'' - ''ESPECIALLY OUR ALLIES DON'T WANT TURKEY GAIN MORE STRENGTH TO KEEP HER UNDER CONTROL'' - ''WE KNEW GREECE IS THE COUNTRY WHICH GIVES TERRORISM TRAINING TO PKK AND OTHER ILLEGAL ORGANIZATIONS. WE HAVE THE ADDRESSES OF TRAINING CAMPS AND THEIR MANAGERS'' - ''NOW, WE HAVE TO CLARIFY THE TRICKS OF GREECE. BECAUSE ALL HER SINS WERE REVEALED''

ANKARA, March 7 (A.A) - Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit said on Saturday that he is surprised at the continuation of violent activities of some organizations which called themselves as marxist-communist organizations, stressing, ''three or four raiders think they can destroy this state. It is beyond day-dreaming, it is heedlessness.''

Emphasizing that Greece's giving terrorism training to illegal organizations which staged attacks in Turkey was revealed, Ecevit said, ''now, we have to clarify all of Greece's tricks because the sins of Greece were brought into light.''

Addressing a broadcast of TRT 1, Ecevit said the condition of Cankiri Governor Ayhan Cevik, who was injured at a car bomb explosion, is hopeful.

Noting that the public supports the state against such events, Ecevit said, ''they think they can destroy the state. Beyond day-dreaming, this is heedlessness.''

Stressing the importance of Turkey's situation in the process of integration of Euroasia, Prime Minister Ecevit said, ''I am not pessimistic, but they won't leave us in peace. Because, Turkey's situation in the world is very important. Turkey became a key country. The Central Asian, Caucasus, and Balkan countries are the countries which generally adopt the leadership of Ataturk and take Turkey as an example. Turkey has very great potential despite the authority gap in Northern Iraq after the Gulf War and the economic embargo, the Turkish economy did not collapse.''

''Thus, especially our allies want to keep Turkey under control, they don't want Turkey gain more strength. Another trouble appears when Turkey overcomes a trouble. So, we have to get used to live with these. This actualy stems from greatness of Turkey. We will bear the consequences,'' Ecevit said.

Responding to a question about the trial of the chief terrorist, Ecevit said he doesn't think the trial will take so long but the courts will impartially take up the issue with great responsibility.

Noting that it was reavealed during the adventure of Abdullah Ocalan in Europe that PKK is a terrorist organization and those European countries closed their doors to him, Ecevit said, ''they used them. I hope they will understand that they were used. This separatist movement is a movement stemming totally from abroad.''

Pointing out that the people living in southeast are fed up with terrorism, Ecevit said, ''the people, who were killed by so-called Kurdish nationalist Ocalan, are of Kurdish origin.''

''We knew that Greece is the country which trained PKK and other terrorists who staged violent attacks in Turkey, including the recent car bomb explosion in Cankiri. We have the addresses of those training camps in Greece and the names of their managers. We informed our foreign friends about these. But they pretended not to see the facts as Greece is an ally of Turkey. Of course, there are Greek-Cypriot lobbies in some countries. But, Greece now can't keep denying her shameful attitude in this issue,'' Ecevit said.

Noting that Turkey repeatedly called Greece to solve the problems with dialogue, Ecevit said that Greece didn't give response to those calls.

Stressing that helping terrorism doesn't have any connection with human rights, Ecevit said, ''they are talking nonsense, becuase they are badly cornered. All of their sins were revealed. They even don't know what thay can do, but a good result may be brought as a result of this.''

Responding to another question, Ecevit said Turkey gave important losses during the Gulf crisis, adding that the situation in northern Iraq creates uneasiness in Turkey.

''The U.S. planes taking off from the Incirlik Base were hitting some regions in Iraq when they were illuminated by radars. Becuase it was self- defense. However, recently they have started to bomb even when there are not any threat like this,'' Ecevit said.

''Turkey is a country which is deeply concerned with the authority gap in Iraq,'' Ecevit added.
