SOFTWARE ENGINEERING GROUP

DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTING,

CITY UNIVERSITY, LONDON

The Software Engineering Group in the Department of Computing of City University has 4 research positions in the area of software systems security. These posts are associated with the European F6 projects SERENITY and PEPERS and will involve research in:

(a) the automated integration, configuration, monitoring and adaptation of security and dependability mechanisms for Ambient Intelligence ecosystems (SERENITY)

(b) design, implementation and validation of a platform for secure operational deployment of mobile and peer-to-peer applications (PEPERS)

Applicants should have a BSc, MSc and preferably a PhD in Computing or in a numerate subject with a substantial component in computing. Research experience and knowledge in one of the following areas: software specification and verification, formal reasoning and logics, software security, mobile computing, or peer-to-peer architectures is also desirable.
