Molecular mechanisms of signal transduction mediated by membrane bound receptors

The Institute of Biology of the National Centre for Scientific Research "Demokritos" (N.C.S.R. "D"), invites qualified applicants to apply for a post-doctoral Research Associate position, funded by the N.C.S.R. "D", for the "Laboratory of Cellular Signaling and Molecular Pharmacology" to work in the "Molecular mechanisms and regulation of membrane bound receptors".

The selected individual will participate in research involving the signaling mechanisms mediated by G protein coupled receptors (GPCRs). The initial appointment will be for a period of two years with possibility of renewal for two more years.

The applicants should have a PhD in Biology or relevant field and should also have documented laboratory experience in molecular biology techniques such as cloning, site-directed mutagenesis, expression, studies of protein-protein interactions and signalling mechanisms.

Applicants should submit their application, a detailed CV, a copy of their three best publications, a short description (up to 2 pages) of their research interests and experience to date and names and full contact details for two referees to:
