UNIVERSITY OF CYPRUS DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS

POSTDOCTORAL POSITION

The Department of Physics has an opening for a research position at the post-doctoral level in the field of computational biophysics. The position is sponsored by the University of Cyprus grant "Repair of UV-damaged DNA by DNA photolyase: Insights from Molecular Dynamics Simulations and Electron Transfer Calculations."

The methods will include molecular dynamics, Poisson-Boltzmann and electron-transfer matrix element calculations (software CHARMM, UHBD, GAUSSIAN98 and MOPAC2000).

The duration of the grant is three years and the contract is signed on a yearly basis.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in a related field at the time of initiation of the employment and should send a description of research experience, a C.V. and two letters of recommendation prior to December 20 2002 at 2:00 pm to
