These insights will serve for the design of more effective regional, government or inter-governmental policies. Expertise in theoretical econometrics, with emphasis in theoretical time series. In particular competence in one or more of the following areas : methods of model selection in partially nonstationary vector autoregressive processes, model specification, model specification and hypothesis testing in nonparametric time series models, nonlinear models, estimation methods of cointegrating vectors (GMM, low-pass filtered least squares), statistical inference on cointegrating models, and Markov models. New insights in industry dynamics, time consistency issues of policies, endogenous growth, management of ecosystems and bio-diversity preservation are expected to emerge from the new advanced models that will be developed with the use of the tools of dynamic and differential game theory. These insights will serve for the design of more effective regional, government or inter-governmental policies. New insights in theoretical econometrics and especially in time series analysis with direct applications in international economics, international finance and corporate finance are expected to emerge from the new advanced models that will be developed with the use of theoretical time series econometrics.
