PhD STUDENTSHIP IN COMPUTATIONAL ELECTROMAGNETICS AND MICROWAVE ENGINEERING

A three-year PhD studentship is available for research on Photonic Band Gap (PBG) Structures for Microwave Applications. A computational electromagnetics software, based on the finite element method, will be developed to model PBG microwave devices. Novel PBG devices will be fabricated and experimentally evaluated using state of the art measurement equipment. The research is supported by a joint EPSRC/DERA grant.

The applicant must be a citizen of an EU country.

Closing date for receipt of applications: 30 June 2000

Your application should include: (1) A CV listing the results/grades of all higher education examinations and professional qualifications taken. (2) A description of your final year project. (3)Two references (in sealed envelopes) from academics of your University.

Knowledge of the English language is essential.
