criticalpublics.com is seeking WEB APPLICATIONS PROGRAMMERS, to be based in the office of Critical Publics SA, its subsidiary in Athens, Greece.

Your mission:

* To develop and implement large-scale, database-driven web applications for major clients, using standards-based methodologies and tools. * To produce technical briefs and possibly manage outsourcing of overflow work to freelance programmers. * To ensure perfect operation of our Intranet and Internet applications.

You are:

* A highly motivated Internet programming / systems wizard, able to produce functioning, well-documented applications using major web scripting languages.

Your skills include:

* A minimum of two years of proven experience in one of the major scripting languages (Perl, Python etc.) or equivalent experience in C, C++ or Java programming. * One year of Oracle or SQL Server applications programming and administration experience. * One year of Javascript, Flash/Shockwave and serious HTML coding experience. * One year of Linux /Unix system administration experience. * Solid overall knowledge of scripting, servers, cross browser support, databases, dynamic web applications and access logging. * An ability to complete programming assignments from detailed specification and design through to actual installation and operation.

Additionally, you may be familiar with:

* Web information architecture, usability and hypermedia design methodologies. * Object-oriented analysis and design methods and tools. * SGML and/or XML-based information standards, applications and tools.

If accepted, you will be able to:
