The Foundation of the Hellenic World (FHW), a private, non-profit cultural institution based in Athens, Greece, is seeking a Computer Graphics 3D Modeler. The primary goal of the FHW is to record, study, and present all aspects of Hellenic Civilisation from prehistoric times to the present, with the use of advanced technologies and interactive multimedia.

The qualified individual will take part in the creation of 3-dimensional models for programs and productions displayed in a state-of-the-art virtual reality visualization environment (CAVE). She/he must possess both strong technical and artistic skills and aesthetic sensibilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be at the forefront of the creative and innovative use of state-of-the-art technology. FHW offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work in a highly advanced environment, while learning and applying innovative concepts in close collaboration with leading VR institutions worldwide.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Good working knowledge of any of the following packages: SoftimageTM, Alias/WavefrontTM, MultigenTM, or 3D StudioTM.

Experience in working with the UNIX operating system, especially on Silicon GraphicsTM platforms.

Knowledge of VRML2.0 will be an asset.
