CYPRUS CHILDREN'S FUND SCHOLARSHIPS

The CCF has announced that this year thirteen scholarship awards of $1,000 each will be given to qualified applicants from the combined four endowments of the fund.

The major award of the CCF is the "Makarios Scholarship/Theodore and Wally Lappas Award." All applicants must be Greek Cypriot citizens, born and with permanent residence on the island of Cyprus.

The "Makarios Scholarship/Peter G. & Bess Kolantis Decker Award" is also for Greek Cypriot students, citizens of the Republic of Cyprus.

The "Thomas & Elaine Kyrus Endowment" is for Greek Cypriot students from the town, or area, of Morfou.

The "Cyprus Children's Fund Scholarship Endowment" is for students of Greek and Greek Cypriot origin, citizens of the USA, Greece or Cyprus. To be eligible, students must be currently enrolled, or demonstrate they will be enrolled, in accredited institutions in the USA, Greece or Cyprus.

The deadline for all scholarship applications is May 5, 1997. Applicants must submit appropriate information demonstrating financial need and academic excellence. Applications for all awards are being accepted for the fall 1997 semesters.
