The Modern Greek Engineers and their National Modernization Dreams

A discussion around Mr. Yiannis Antoniou's Research on the history of the Greek Engineers and of their Institutions.

Mr. Antoniou's presentation will focus on the ideological debate in the Greek Engineering milieu during the thirties and the forties that paved the way to Constantine Karamanlis' "Greek Miracle" of the fifties and the sixties. Before the general discussion, Professor Elias Gyftopoulos will comment on the new findings from the perspective of his personal experiences.
