PANEL: "Whose Cyprus?"

WHERE: BARNUM 008, Tuesday April 21st @ 6:00 TUFTS UNIVERSITY-MEDFORD (MA)

SPEAKERS: Mr. Varnavas ZAGARIS (producer of the award winning documentary "My Cyprus")
Prof. Yannis Ioannides, professor of Economics, Tufts University

Mediators: Omer Hiziroglu and Peter Kaldes

This year the panel is called "Whose Cyprus?". We aim to discuss the problem of Cyprus in the context of Southern Cyprus' innitiation of membership process to the EU. We will look at how EU prospect for Cyprus will affect the relations on the island as well as Turkey-Greece-EU relations.

This years panel is especially interesting as Hellenic society has joined us in organising the event.

During the panel we will show a selection of the award winning documentary "My Cyprus" which will be followed by a discussion section.

This panel deals with an important and actual question. We view this panel as a small step for cooperation and understanding between Turkish and Greek communities.
