This course is designed for those with no or little prior exposure to the Greek Language. The adult beginner will develop basic grammar and syntax. Emphasis will also be placed on listening, reading and writing skills. The materials for this course include a textbook as well as in-class handouts. More information on the textbook and supplementary materials will be provided by the instructor on the first day of class. INTERMEDIATE MODERN GREEK
This low intermediate course will further develop listening and and comprehension skills. The course also is designed to give students a more solid foundation over the the spoken and written word. Grammar will be enhanced through the use of authentic dialogues which will reflect the grammatical topic as it appears in conversational context. Social and cultural aspects underlying everyday dialogues will be discussed. ADVANCED & CONVERSATIONAL
This conversational course is designed for the high level intermediate student. It provides intensive practice in conversation through everyday dialogues which include more complex structures and vocabulary. The students are also introduced to some common formats for informative writing (memos, instructions), and narrative writing(distinguishing/sequencing events etc). These activities are designed to give the students further practice in the conversational topics introduced during the course. INSTRUCTORS Elementary M.Greek
