JUSTICE FOR CYPRUS

In a joint effort to address the impasse over the Cyprus problem, the Justice for Cyprus Committee in cooperation with the Alexander Onassis Center for Hellenic Studies, the Cyprus Federation of America and the International Coordinating Committee Justice for Cyprus are organizing a panel discussion entitled "The American Foreign Policy, the Rule of Law, and the Cyprus Problem."

The panel discussion will take place on Monday, February 10, 1997 at New York University's Tishman Auditorium, Vanterbilt Hall 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

Panelists will be: Senator Alfonse D'Amato from New York; Congressman Robert Menendez, International Relations Committee; Mr. Carey Cavanaugh, Director, Office of Southern European Affairs, US State Department; Dr. Van Coufoudakis, Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, Indiana-Purdue University; Dr. Angel Vinas, Ambassador, Head of the Delegation of The European Commission to the United Nations and Mr. Christopher Hitchens, a columnist and author. Dr. Harry Psomiades, Director, Center for Byzantine and Modern Greek studies at Queens College of New York, will be the panel's moderator.

The panelists will respond to audience questions following their presentation.
