Subject: "Greeks of the Bronze Age" lecture From: Klio Chantziara Helicon c/o The Greek Institute September 15, 1995 Dear Hellenic Student Society Members: On behalf of Helicon's Board of Directors, I would like to welcome you to a series of lectures and events. Helicon is an association of college graduates and students who are Greek, of Greek descent, or Philhellenes. Since its founding in 1911 by Aristides E. Foutrides, a native of Ikaria and a student of Harvard College, Helicon has sponsored lectures by distinguished speakers on a variety of educational and cultural topics, special arts and musical events, as well as social events and opportunities for people to meet and find fellowship. Helicon also has a tradition of giving moral support and financial assistance, though an annual scholarship award, to students to complete their education in American colleges and universities. Enclosed is information about Helicon's next lecture. Following the lecture will be a reception and opportunity for people to meet and socialize. We hope you and other Greek or Greek-American students will join us for this event. Sincerely, Constantine Hionides, MD ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Helicon invites you to a lecture: GREEKS OF THE BRONZE AGE New Discoveries by Dr. David Mitten Curator of Ancient Art, Arthur M.
