Intl. Conf. on Carbon-based Nanostructured MaterialsConferences in and about Greece Directory - Previous Article - Next ArticleFrom: "HR-Net News Distribution Manager" <dist@hri.org>Cnano'09 We are very pleased to invite you to the International Conference on Carbon-based Nanostructured Materials Cnano '09 organized by the Carbon-Nanostructures-Laboratory (CNSLab) located at the Theoretical and Physical Chemistry Institute, National Hellenic Research Foundation. The conference will be hosted at the conference center of Rocabella Resorts & Spa Hotel in the beautiful island of Santorini (4 - 8 October 2009), Greece. The conference will be broadly scoped on fullerenes, nanotubes, and carbon nanostructures both from an experimental, as well as a theoretical point of view. Scientists and researchers actively engaged in the synthesis, functionalization, as well as the theoretical approximations, characterization and possible applications of these materials are encouraged to present their research and exchange ideas with leading scientists in the field of Carbon-based nano-materials. Specifically the areas of interest include " Chemistry of carbon nanotubes " Properties of carbon nanotubes " Functionalization and properties of endohedral fullerenes " Fullerenes and heterofullerenes " Hybrid materials " Microscopy " Applications " Theory, calculations and modelling You are welcome to submit your papers. Abstract submission deadline is 31st of May 2009. Following a standard peer-review procedure, the conference publications of Cnano '09 will be published in the Royal Society of Chemistry's high-impact-factor journals: The Journal of Materials Chemistry http://www.rsc.org/materials/ Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics http://www.rsc.org/pccp/ Energy & Environmental Science http://www.rsc.org/ees/ Financial support for Cnano'09 is partially provided through the EC FP7 NANOHOST project http://www.nanohost.gr/ . For this reason we can offer low registration fees to participants: Academic registration fee is 350 euro while student and PhD registration fee is 250 euro. The registration fee includes: " copy of the abstract book " admission to all technical sessions of the conference " lunches, dinners and coffee breaks for the duration of the conference " welcome reception " conference banquet The island of Santorini is a famous travelling destination that presents a unique sightseeing experience, guaranteed to intrigue everyone who has the opportunity to visit the Aegean islands.
