E U R O G E N 2 0 0 1 FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR PAPERS September 19-21, 2001, ATHENS-GREECE

The next EUROGEN Conference:

"EUROGEN 2001 - Evolutionary Methods for Design, Optimization and Control with Applications to Industrial Problems

will be held in Athens, Greece (September, 19-21 2001). It will be organized by the National Technical University of Athens & the University of Patras and will be sponsored by the Thematic Network INGENET.

EUROGEN 2001 is the fourth in this series of EUROGEN events. Though all previous EUROGEN events were in fact short courses (EUROGEN95 in Las Palmas, EUROGEN97 in Trieste and EUROGEN99 in Jyvaskyla), EUROGEN 2001 is now being updated to an International Conference, bringing together people from Universities, Research Institutes and Industries developing or using Evolutionary Methods. The main Conference objectives will be focused on recent advances in Genetic Algorithms, Evolution Strategies, Evolutionary Programming, Genetic Programming and Industrial Applications. Special emphasis will be given to practical industrial and engineering applications.

Deadline for submission of Extended Abstracts: February,15 2001
